In all my talk of Lax and Oshy I forgot to to congrats to Point.  They make great in game adjustments and always play 5 as 1 better then any team i have seen or played against.  they are very well coached and have my favorite point guard in the league in El-Amin (I still think he should stand up inside joke) Great fan support and will represent the WIAC very well.

I hope that they host a couple, me and the shoot blocker might show up.

"I had a feeling those two losses to Loras and Carleton would come back and haunt La Crosse...and of course those two brainfarts to Eau Claire and River Falls don't help."

Old School - that brainfart to the Blugolds was the highlight of our year here in EC!  ;)  As the old quote goes from MASH, something to the effect, "We screwed up in reverse" that day.  :D

Only at Quandt can there be enough fans in the stands that we can do the wave successfully!  We did the normal wave, the fast wave and slow wave, a la Badger games! lol.  :D ;)

i seem to remeber a national champ team  a couple years ago being swept by sup town,  they did win the tourny though

No Pool C teams from top 2 conferences (CCIW, WIAC)

John Gleich

Wow... La Crosse and Oshkosh BOTH missed bids.  It appears that the numbers "fix" on the QOWI board drops EC's numbers and this really effects LaX and Oshy.

3 ODAC teams.  4 UAA teams.  3 NESCAC teams.  That's six of the Pool C's to three conferences.  D3hoops had Stevens and Guilford out, and LaX and Oshy in.  Oh to have that 19th bid....

One Pool C from the West, one from the Midwest.  The two strongest regions get the least representation.

It's ridiculous when teams are so even with teams in the tourney and don't get in. I was sure the West was going to get the most teams of everyone. I swear, the NE teams lose on purpose just so their conferences can get more teams in. Maybe Augustana and Point should have done the same as Amherst.  ::)

Greek Tragedy

Here are some teams that were probably keeping Oshkosh and La Crosse out of the tourney.

Hoopsville pointed out this:  Oshkosh had a better QOWI and in-region record, but La Crosse swept Oshkosh in THREE GAMES.  Though to give one team a Pool C bid and noth the other, so I guess the NCAA decided to keep both out...disappointing.  The QOWI is in ( )
