Yo quiero Taco Bell.
Come on Greg, Taco Bell is definitely not food.  ::)
But when it is the only place on O'ahu that you can find a Taco, it will serve as a "reasonable facsimile thereof".   :D
Ralph: As someone who also lives relatively close to the border (ie. greater access to the real stuff), you'd think you'd be a better supporter of my stance on Taco Bell. :P :D ;)

Depending on where you eat on the other side of the border, it may be safer to eat tacos state-side.  ::)

OS... ah, but what a way to die.  ;D 8) :-* :D

Seriously though, I was down in Baja working with some indigenous communities on their water systems the other day, and totally had Horchata De Arroz with breakfast on my way out to their village from Ensenada. Everyone was like, "stick to the bottled stuff" ...even the Mexican guys! :D And I was like... no way, I love this stuff! I figure that after living in Africa for six months (in the beginning I totally sanitized everything I drank, but quickly started slipping due to the fact that it took a ridiculous amount of time and made me look like a silly American)... I have an iron stomach.... or at least I'm used to that particular type of suffering. :D I didn't get sick though. :P

Either way, I'd rather go hungry or get the runs anyday than than eat Taco Bell's tasteless Grade Z products... chihuahua and all. :P

Thanks for the belated reassurance. When OS first put that picture up, I was like.... Heeeeey!  ??? >:( :'( :P

That's why I love DIII... the guys don't sign contracts but they still hold up to their commitments. :D Is Sout Survivor still on our team too? Or was I still working on recruiting him? I know for sure that Point Special kept turning me down.  :-[ :-X :D Isn't OS required to actually play on his team? Enquiring minds want to know...

Disclaimer: Normally I'd try to put a basketball kicker on a post this long about nothing related to d3 hoops, but it's the off season, so what the hey.... :D

I do play!  Every 3v3 team usually has a fourth player to sub or if someone gets hurt.  Actually, you can have that scrub BDshotblocker! lol  ;D...Swampgoon took off right after the game, so he missed the photo opportunity and actually voiced his displeasure that he wasn't on the team!  >:(

Don't be so sure of that. I once caught a case of gastroenteritis from eating at a Mexican restaurant right here in Chicago. I've never been sicker in my entire life. I lost fifteen pounds, missed over a week of work, had to make a trip to the ER, and at one point (don't read the rest of this paragraph if you're eating while at the computer) the diarrhea and nausea hit me simultaneously and I had it coming out of both ends at the same time.

It wasn't some madre-y-padre taco stand, either; it was a sit-down restaurant that appeared to be reasonably clean and got a lot of customer traffic.

I would say that Demars is a very nice player.  I did 3 Regis games at the end of their season and saw LaCrosse people at all 3 games so they think he is a good player too.  I think he will do some damage in the WIAC.

Greg: for your health's sake, please don't get fooled by those plsstic booths again, Taco Bell is NOT a sit down restaurant. :D :P ;)

Hey, don't say bad things about Taco Johns.  Back in my grad school days at UW-L, living above a bar on the north side of town, across Copeland Ave from a Taco Johns, it sustained us like you don't know.  They had a 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 taco night that we lived on for 2 years.  My roommates and I nicknamed them "The Lord" because the first time we indulged in this culinary delight, an old Jack Lord film was on tv (from before the Hawaii 5-O times).  Still brings a smile to my face!!  These days I hate most taco's, but I would do anything for one from The Lord!!

Back when I was a fast growing early teen (picture Model T's and fireside chats), I used to order the famous "Taco John's Six-Pack and a PoundTM" and eat it all during a 40-minute lunch period, including five minutes of travel time each way.  (That's six tacos and a pound of potato oles, for the uninitiated).  I had the metabolism of a prairie dog back then.  Now I just have the looks of one.

UW-La Crosse's Joe Werner went through a workout today for the Green Bay Packers.  A Packer scout came to UW-L to put Werner through drills and testing (basically what is done at the NFL combine).  He's trying out for Tight End, only know a couple of test results...

36" vertical (2nd or 3rd best among all TE in the draft)

10'3" standing long jump (best among all TE in the draft)

4.70 second 40 time (the track coach's stop watch had a 4.68, but the scout had to use his result)

The joint that blew up my intestinal tract was called Pepe's. Fortunately, it's no longer in business. It's been replaced by another Mexican restaurant called La Fogata. Still, new name and new management or not, I'm afraid to go in there.
