Oh survivor. You need to release from the hold Miller Lite has on you.  :D

You guys, on off days only of course, will have the best bier in the world available to you with honey-licious babes to serve it.  ;)

Get ready to drink your beer at room temperature.

BDB you be nice to my friend miller lite .... got me though some tough times.  I am ready to have some german bier and the service looks to come with a smile.  Room temp?  I am not so sure I am going to enjoy that, might be that goofy american who puts ice in their beer.
You are only as good as the people around you.

OK, here's a doorknob that ordered a Miller Lite in Germany and what he ended up with...

So, if you still want to order Miller Lite in the land of fantastic bier, you may need to go to a US military base.  ;D

Video-Highlights von Jacob Nonemacher bald hier

So, is it saying Jacob has BALD HAIR? lol.  I got the German version for Jacob and the English version for John.  Apparently it means "will be here soon"...

Well, taking a quick look at the list of players, there are a handful of D1 and D2 players.

Wish ya luck...guess you'll be too busy next season to play any of the fantasy leagues! lol  :'( ;D

Anyone who goes to Germany and orders a Miller Lite or Bud Light should be shot.

OH, YOU KNOW I'M GETTING IN ON THE PICK 'EM LEAGUE!!
Superior wins at least 4 conference games next season.

Congrats to John and Jake.  The Germans don't know how lucky they are.  You guys will be missed around here.  What you have contributed to Stout basketball is just a small part of how you have made a positive impact on our community.  Class acts, both of you, and I consider it an honor to have been your friend.  I'm not coming to Germany to watch you play because you would make me buy some of that really expensive beer they have over there.

Let me be the first to congratulate the twin towers on taking the next step to play ball in Germany!

Not to interrupt the congratulations and all, but something really important needs to be said here...
Twins: Excuse me, how are you guys supposed to be on my 3-on-3 team when you're in Germany? ???  I mean seriously, where are your priorities?? >:( I know a contract to play professional ball is cool and all, but now you can't have any cookies. :P :D :D :D

Seriously though, that's totally awesome. Congratulations!!!!! ;D ;) And as one who grew up going to Germanic celebrations of my heritage every October.... well, have fun! If I could get paid to live in Europe (and therefore get to do some exploring), I would totally jump on it... but playing pro is even cooler. If I am ever in Germany visiting my aunt I will definitely have to try to watch one of y'all games. ;)
Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan

As of right now deal me in the fantasy and pick'em.

Thank you for all the congrats I really do appreciate them.  While overseas I will do everything to represent the WIAC in a positive light so other players in the future can have a chance to play too.  If any player wants advice both Jake and I are happy to help now or in the future.

Stoutguy and BDB- it has been a pleasure talking to you for hours about basketball, football, life and some silly things too.  Those times will not stop due to us leaving now that we have ventured on this board.  Stoutguy I sometimes feel that my mother love you more then me with all the air time she had during our games ;D

I never thought I would be here when i sent out those emails almost 5 years ago.

Twins - Good luck in Germany...

If you have access to a computer, it would be interesting to get periodic updates from you guys on this site, time permitting, of course...

I wonder how you say "dunk" in German?  ;)

Greek Tragedy

So, can you two give us some general information here?  This "open tryout" thing is a three-day camp or so, played in front of scouts, coaches, agents (?), and other managerial personnel, right?  Then they actually offer you contracts to play for teams?  Is this just German League affiliated, or is this some kind of European Union tryout where club teams from other countries can sign you.  I mean, it's Europe, so going from one country to anther is like state to state here.  You guys signed onto this Scores First SportManagement...is this like a marketing firm with agents like AMG or whatever?  Just curious...and of course, good luck.

here is the deal.

We have signed with a representitive (agent) at Scorers 1st, he will talk to teams on our behalf and all that stuff to get us a contract.  They are based in Germany but work with teams throughout Europe and elsewhere.  The pro camp is a venue for many teams in Europe to see you play in person and is put on by Scored 1st.  We have already had our names out to top teams.  This whole proccess has been a learning experience and it should continue that way for a while.

badgerwarhawk -
Thanks for the response. Ha. It's been like a quarter burning a hole in the pocket of a kid in the penny candy store, so I'll get this bad pun groaner out of the way:

dunk in German might be the actual act, followed by a polite "thank you very much?" so therefore "dunka" shon? = danke schon... ;)
