Poopy, wish I knew about that.  Any new names make an impact, by chance?  Thanks for the insight.

Yeah, ignore the last email.  Bicardi Silver.

I don't think Price is on this team.  I haven't seen him, heard him, there was an intersqaud scrimmage before we kicked MHB back to Texas, but unfortunately only a baseball recruit came through.  Future all-american, would be a great time to bring in all prospective students to Udub dub because the crown for the game was great.  Hope they could be half as enthused at the bball games, but have to put a good product on the court.

why oh why.  Price was such a good shooter.  Where oh where is he.

Mr. Downtown

Who is expected then to step up and fill in the void for Whitewater?

uww4ever

i don't know who will step up.  Don't know much about the new guards.  the  bench  players from last year didn't get much time last year.  I don't play pickup ball much anymore at UWW, but hopefully someone will step up.
I don't think they did "mid-night" madness this year, but there was an intersquad scrimmage.  Nothing to report, too much sports stuff going at at Williams Center.  We host everything!!!

Brian Carroll and I may go to Winona to see UWL scrimmage WSU.  One of us will post a report if we do.

It's just like watching a practice. The coaches must agree to let people watch.

That is not specified in the NCAA bylaws. The only rules governing scrimmages are: a) They can't be held prior to the first authorized date of practice; b) They can't be publicized; c) No admission can be charged; d) The teams can't keep official score; and e) Both teams have to agree that the contest will not count towards their W-L records.

No clue....not sure that anyone cares.   Price was a streaky outside shooter but other aspects of his game could have been better.   Historically scoring points hasn't been that much of a problem for us so I'm sure we'll find a way to do it again.  Judging by the intrasquad scrimmage we've got a couple of guys who look to be effective outside shooters and our guard play should be improved over last year.   Hopefully we've got the low post game to go along with it.

It's an interesting team with alot of new faces and some really athletic looking kids.  Twentythree on the practice roster will have to be cut down to twenty once the real season starts.

WARHAWKS scheduled scrimmages with Elmhurst and Edgewood.

Wow.  That's a bold statement! lol :-)

First team All Conference performer.  13th in FG% (overall), 16th in scoring, 7th in 3-point FG%, 4th in 3-point FG Made, tied for 2nd in steals on the team.

Yes, most of that are offensive stats, but he's a shooting guard!  Anyway...  ;)

I don't know on which side of the Lombardi-Halas Line that scrimmage with Elmhurst will be held, BW, but if it's in Whitewater and you see it, I'd like to read your impressions of both teams.

Sorry, Greg, but it's on the Halas side of the line and I won't be able to take it in.   Though after my daughter attended Elmhurst briefly the college's gym is one of the few places in Chicagoland I could drive without the assistance of MapQuest.

BTW, any chance you're crossing to the Lombardi side for either of North Park's games 11/17 or 18?

OS, trust me, we'll score without Price.  We always do.

Ditto about Price.  We had some guys quit before and we still did well (London Donlow anyone), and rapid turnover of players.  Some of the kids do look pretty athletic.  Hopefully some of the bench players spent their summers in the gym, they certainly train pretty well before the season at Williams Center.  You never know with fresh faces.

When looking at La Crosse's NC schedule, you can add Loras in there as well. They host the 06-07 Iowa Conference champs on Dec. 21.
