I noticed Dijon Reese was not in the boxscore for River Falls tonight....  Anyone have any information on that situation?  Injury, academics, etc...?

Good analysis PointSpecial!!

Platteville's and Lawrence's place in the Top 25 was past due, in my opinion.

I've been to Platteville many times and never once heard anything remotely to what you are talking about, Pioneer Hoops Fan.

The best part of going to Platteville from Oshkosh is driving through Madison. There, you should have no problems finding a place to eat!

Unlike between Superior and Eau Claire, where there is NOTHING!!!

By the way, how are driving conditions elsewhere. I keep watching the news showing cars in the ditches all over the Fox Valley.

About the $1 taps, burgers, fries?  It's fairly new.

Good game tonight.  Oshkosh had a streak in the second half, but Platteville answered.  Great crowd tonight, but I think maybe a few got over zealous behind the Titan bench.  The O-Zone was fantastic in cheering the Pioneers on.

Johnson played the best overall i think for the Titans.  DJ Marsh couldn't make a layup at all.  Pioneers held Oshkosh to 27% shooting in the first half and they were mid 30% for the game.  DSA held Jeff to 1-5 shooting in the first half, but Skemper made 3-4 in the second half.  He also had 13 reb for the game.

Charlie Lohoff again, but the Pioneers on his back and got the team going.

Good game, but the Pioneers were just too strong tonight for the Titans.

Yes he did most of the time on Defense.  He struggled (due to the 'D' of DSA in the first half) a little bit on offense, but found his game later on.

I thought the better team won at Kolf, and I'd assume the same was true tonight. When Platteville smoked UWO in the first game I thought the Pioneers were the best in the conference. Nothing has made me change that thought since.

EDIT: UWO's shooting stats were horrible. How much of that was PV defense? If there's anything UWO does well, it's shoot the ball. They didn't even do well from the line. Hope it's one to just turn the page and move on.

I can believe I forgot this before, but welcome back Kyle Tetschlag.  Played very well, and did well on DSA when Jeff was on the bench.  He helped tremendously, and is going to be one of the keys to the Pioneers making this run to the title.

Greek Tragedy

Is Eau Claire the most up and down team?  Beats Platteville and Oshkosh, but gets swept by Superior.

Yes, EC is up-and-down ...even in the same game! trailed 41-22 at the half... then TG benched ALL his starters and started a combeack. They scored 59 and got to within four, but couldn't get over the hump. Beyer had 22  (0 at halftime).... went over the 1000 pt mark with a year to go.

Culy was unconscious and Hill was great.

BG's need to play with that kind of intensity all the time to beat anyone.

By the way, the Thorpedo is awesome .... not just fries, but fish and everything else on the menu!

Re:  Poll

I didn't include Rob Perry and Matt Goodwin since Perry is out for the year.

La Crosse didn't really have a solid big man (Kegler was the closest there) and same with Point (Hurd and Wotachek)...my apologies to all three of them.

Stout doesn't use Huettl or Heisler enough to be considered.

If Koonkaew was playing, I would've included Nate Robertson and River Falls.

So, if you think any of those four teams gets the vote, you can select "Other"!

Perry might not be out for the year.  Last night they interviewed him on UWW t.v. and he said that he will try for 3 weeks.  He was on crutches, WILL switch to a "Tom Brady" boot next week and he stated he will try to get back on the court ASAP or after the boot comes off.

Senior year, gotta try at least to come back.  First game I've seen all year without making opinions from the box score.  Good solid game.  Some of our shooters really have some range.

GO HAWKS!

UWRF

Steven's Point totally dismantled the Falcons last night.  RF shot a dismal 28% from the floor on there home court.  And the Pointers were playing without Rortvedt.

DJ Reese didnt play for the Falcons last night and I am not sure why.

Has anyone ever really watched Greg Knox play? I've never seen anyone hack so much, it was unbelievable.  he came in for garbage time and was pushing and hold Courtney Davis all over.  None got called of course cause it didn't matter, but I was shocked by all the blatant pushes and holds.

I heard the Reese is done for the year due to grades? Too bad, he hurt UWW with his 3s at crunch time. They could have been the upset team of the WIAC if he was still playing.

UWW was a different team last night from the one that played at La Crosse. I asked a player what the difference was and he said that you sit on a bus for 3 hours and then go play a game not a good situation but the whole conference dose it. He also said if they stay overnight, they play better (Superior). Perry has been saying all along that he would play again this year and from what he said last night, he may be right.
