Mr. Downtown

I like Whitewater's chances to make the Sweet 16, perhaps even further.

Point has to face the UAA Champs in the 1st round, and then possibly go to Minneapolis, to take on the team that knocked off the D-II National Champs this year. That's not even to the Sweet 16 in which they can go against Augustana, Wash U., or Wooster. This is by far and away THE toughest Regional in the country.

With that being said, I don't like Point's chances of reaching the Sweet 16. However, I wouldn't put it passed the Pointers to find a way, like they have in the past.

I'm really starting to hate this feeling of watching other basketaball teams in the dance from the WIAC. Not saying that Oshkosh would have went far, but man, I just feel left out as a fan once again this year.

Putting out my 2 cents for ALL-Conference Team

Matt Goodwin (POY)
Jeff Skemp
DJ Marsh
Dan Beyer
Jake Smith
Matt Miller
Tony Mane
Miles Webb
Kori Vernon
Pete Rortvedt

It's really tough to narrow it down to a list of ten, there's probably another 4 or 5 guys that could be on this list.  (Hicklin, Hill, Hanson, McKay, Seckar-Anderson)

I like WW's chances too... they're playing at home, which always helps!

Why is everyone disregarding Perry in their all conference selections.  He was probably the leading candidate for POY when he went down.   I don't think the fact he wasn't able to finish the season is reason enough to ignore him.  He was clearly one of the 10 best when he was playing.

Just my unbiased two cents.  :)

No matter.   :P  All you really need to know about St. Thomas is that they handed D-II, No. 3 ranked Winona State its only loss this year.  The loss by Winona (now 30-1 on the year) was only its second in its last 89 games, with the only other loss being a last second loss in last year's D-II title game.

The Tommies don't have the superstar players that they've had in recent years, but they are extremely deep and talented.  They do not have a lot of size so they are somewhat vulnerable inside.

So, St. Thomas lost to Concordia-Moorhead, does that make Concordia-Moorhead better than Winona State too?  You gotta do better than that! lol
