Good points, eagleslam.

Guilford's Brett Bonner is another player who wasn't getting much time at his first school - in his case, Presbyterian - but he's had a good career for the Quakers.  He came off the bench when he first arrived in January, '08, but was a key starter last season.  With Brett and Clay Henson, both now seniors, GC looks to be very solid this year.  Brett's from North Forsyth HS (Winston-Salem), so he's now much closer to home - his family doesn't miss a home game!

In my experience, in general, very many facts turn out to be not true.
I need to test things in my own experience to find out what is really true.

Well, to be precise, eagleslam is correct.

Many alleged facts turn out not to be facts (i.e., not true).  But, precisely speaking, they were not, in fact, facts to begin with! ;)

Eagleslam,

The last time I checked this isn't a board about grammar or the English language. Sorry for the little mistake.  I found one in your post as well, but who cares, I understood what you meant.

Another player who had success after transferring "down" to d3 is Carey Keyes at EMU.  His senior year, he was ODAC POY. Hopefully, Coach Keyes can have a positive influence and guide the transfers at EMU.

There's a grammatical league quite ODAC-ly.
The Supreme "Court" for all "matters of factly".
See Webster, now Roget ...
They're the rules for fair play!
By the book, we're all T'ed up for "exactly"!

badcall!

Eagleslam-1 minor correction.  Dan Rush was not a transfer, he went all 4 years to BC.  He had a full ride to Morehead State in KY but backed out and went to BC.  Other notable transfers I can recall in the recent times-some being DII and some being DI are Mason Woolridge, Robbie Pridgen, Justin Call.  Looking forward to an exciting season that tips off soon!

It would seem to me that you're damaged goods dropping down to D-3 from D-1. Woolridge is a good example - nice shot & no handle. Who was the transfer from Radford a few years back? He wasn't anything special either. Maybe I'm getting a little testy & bored with this topic. :-\

My contacts tell me that the Gennies are more athletic than any team Coach Hutchinson has ever had. Look for 2 frosh to start.

This weekend they have their alumni game. That should tell us a bit about this year's edition of W+L hoops.

I count 25 players (I think 29 started practice) and I'm sure some of these will be on JV:

Fifteen letter winners and 10 new players.  Notable newcomers are freshmen Best, Pittman and Tracy - not sure about the others - plus transfers Akinsola (Bethany) and Burbage (Louisburg).

Nice work Jackets! You've done the ODAC proud.

The problem is now the rest of us have to play R-MC.

Looks like it could be a long season on the ODAC board.

Looks like the RMC roster is up:

Does anyone have any insight into the five RMC freshmen?
