STH is an icon to all!!  The rock is unidentified.   Unless he confirms his identity we are all stuck between "a rock and a hot place"!!! Haha

Quote from: hasanova on January 31, 2010, 04:06:19 PMIt's perplexing that the Yellow Jackets have lost 4 of their last 6, but I, for one, never count out RMC ... too much talent, too much good coaching and too much tradition!  I think they'll finish strong.

Let's hope so.  They have the talent to do it.  One more trap game with H-S at Crenshaw, and then the famous first round stumbling block in the ODAC tournament.  Things will continue to be interesting for Jacket fans. ;)

My son wants to know whether STH couldn't have been a bit more clever in his choice of a new moniker, noting that merely taking on the name of ANOTHER wrestler made his true identity as Scotty 2 Hotty terribly obvious ......  :)

One humorous note ... I was walking down Henry Sreet looking for Crenshaw and, ironically, probably asked the only two students at RMC who had never been to a game where to find the gym.  I found it anyway.  :)

Wow. . .  ???

I know, but trust me, it could probably happen at Guilford too ... they have a small number of students who seem to take great pride in never attending anything even remotely associated with athletics.  :)

The Gennies are back on the winning trek.  I still believe Hutch and the boys will finish top 5 in the league, as they've been giving teams havoc.  If they don't fall behind early, watch out cause as they proved against Macon, they can play against anyone!  Dont get bitter, get better!  Wish I had those WLU shorts...sheeeeeeeesh!  :)

Any team that can get Guilford down by 13 is a good team - they just couldn't sustain it for the full 40 minutes.

I copied the d3hoops.com headline about Guilford being voted #1 to my nephew (who played DII ball and writes sports for an NC newspaper) and he came back with the following logic:

"Not just in Division III...Here's something else for you:
Kentucky lost to South Carolina, who lost to Boston College, who lost to Northern Iowa, who lost to DePaul, who lost to American, who lost to Randolph-Macon, who lost to Guilford. Pretty legit claim for a number one ranking in any division, right?"

I like it!  :)

There's a website (alas, I've forgotten where) that you can use to 'prove' any d3 team (with at least one win) could beat any d1 team (with at least one loss), but this may be the shortest chain I've ever seen.

(Of course, the chain for Randy Mac is even shorter! :D)

I've heard of the website you cite, but I can't remember the name of it either.

Guess that means VWC can claim it, too!  lol

Congrats to Guilford on taking over #1... it's well deserved indeed.

I guess we can keep this going until we get to the Our Lady of Perpetual Ineptitude Preparatory School for the Chronically Unathletic!  :)  I love those chains, but I seriously doubt any ODAC team would come within 30-35 of Kentucky.

On behalf of Guilford's men's basketball team, we appreciate all the well wishes.  The team got a nice write-up on the Top 3rd of page 1 Sports in today's Greensboro News & Record and, as Coach Palombo said (and I paraphrase), this is nice, but our immediate goal is tonight's game with Hampden-Sydney.  One game at a time - every opponent is tough.

Nova - Regale us with a limerick about STH, MyBleedingHands, therock, etc. so we can put to bed the discussion about Scott Harris vs. the world.  ;)
