Congratulations to the R-MC Yellow Jackets on an impressive win over my Lions.  Apparently the home and home blowouts cancelled each other out.  Good luck the rest of the season.

At least 2 bonus games a week in January...( look I gotta get back into this thing somehow)   ;)

You're experienced at that kind of thing, Steely.   :)  I'm expecting--almost hoping--that you'll only select the double bonus games AFTER the games are over.  You will select, of course, those games in which you get an edge on the field.  Have you also considered DROPPING from the scoring some of the tough games that you didn't get right?  (Of COURSE you have, but will you 'fess up?)   :)

By the way, I want to give a testimonial for Moon Pies (again).  On Friday morning I was throwing up and "green around the gills," as my family observed.  Due to a family situation, I had to travel no matter what, and the family carted me to the car and off we went.  At the first pit stop in West Virginia, I hobbled into the gas station and asked if they had any Moon Pies.  (Gas station.  West Virginia.  Is the sky blue?)  A few miles down the road, the family remarked that my recovery was almost miraculous.  The power of Moon Pie.

Jim, I don't think that Moon Pies alone could have calmed your inner woes. It's just that in West Virginia they are pre-soaked in White Lightning -- and that potion, I'm reliably informed, will cure damn near any ailment. (Unfortunately, it's also known to cause a few, I think)

Well, let's not forget, real MOON PIES (not a store brand knock-off, mind you) are made in Chattanooga, TN, which is not that far from Lynchburg, TN, which is the home of Jack Daniels.  Coincidence?  I don't think so!

Steelyglen,
Ooops.  I didn't mean to give away the tricks of the trade.   :D

Regarding the ingredient that gave the Moon Pies their special healing properties, I think it was mold.  These pies were old.  I think that Warren Thompson and hasanova have confused the ingredients sometimes added to RC to give it "medicinal" properties with the active ingredient that worked magic in the Lewisburg Moon Pies.   :)

Gee, Jim, did you buy those Moon Pies in a store ... or a museum?  :P

Warren,
Interstate travelers are to blame.  They have no appreciation for the local food culture.  When they stop at gas stations located along Interstates they want to consume the same stuff they get everywhere.  It drives the locals to frequent places off the well-beaten path.  Those Moon Pies were probably ordered by the gas-station manager based on his/her own tastes, but the product just sat there for months because those visitors from New Jersey and California chose Little Debbie products instead.

Nice wins by the Jackets against quality opponent St. John Fisher yesterday.  Wansley scored 19 and pulled down 11 boards.  The box score:

Warren; Jeloesel:

I think Cracker Barrel's still have the Moon Pies  ;D.  Congrats to R-MC on winning the Hal Nunnally, and "paying back" the Lions  :(

Lincoln rebounded aganist Lake Erie, and hopefully should take Greenboro and CNU in Myrtle Beach.

It's good to see Lincoln's SOS is helping the Lions stay in the top 25.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the D3 posters! Peter leaves Christmas morning for Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he begins his 4 month tour with the New York Nationals and the Harlem Globetrotters. He has been assigned to the West Coast Team but will travel to Richmond, Roanoke, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Florida. He enjoyed the recent travel to Spain, Italy, Africa, Bahrain, back to Italy, Germany, Portugal and Cuba and made a lot of friends. Believe it or not, when he was on the Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, he was approached by a sailor from Leesburg, VA who he played soccer and basketball against in high school. Small world!
