YYYEEESSSSS!

R-MC 64
VWC  62

Danny Jones gets the winning bucket with a couple seconds on the clock. What a show, Jackets!

GO JACKETS!!!

The live stats are so screwed up I dare not quote them... but both teams had a great day at defense and R-MC just managed to have a tad more offense when needed.

Way to go, guys... this is a really big win for us!

Randolph-Macon wins another close one, which makes the ODAC competition even more interesting!

Jackets have lost to EMU, VWC, Guilford, and W&L

Marlins have lost to Guilford, EMU, and RMC.

Guilford has lost to EMU and VWC.

EMU has lost to HSC and VWC.

---------------------------------

After today, VWC still has to play:
                        @EMU
                        @HSC
        EMU:
                        VWC
                        B'water
                        W&L
       Guilford:
                        @W&L
                        E&H
                        @Randolph
        RMC:
                        Lynchburg
                        HSC

Interesting indeed!  Could you please remind us all who H-SC & W & L have lost to, just so we have an even more complete picture?

P.S.  Didn't EMU also lose to Bridgewater?

EMU has only lost to BC and HSC in the ODAC

^ So the above summary by Algernon is incorrect on EMU re:  VWC?

Hard to keep it all straight... what a roller coaster this conference is.

Yes, that was definitely a mistake, regarding EMU's losses.  This is hopefully correct:

     Jackets have lost to EMU, VWC, Guilford, and W&L
     Marlins have lost to Guilford, EMU, and RMC.
     Guilford has lost to EMU and VWC.
     EMU has lost to HSC and BC.
     HSC has lost to EMU, VWC, Guilford X 2, RMC, BC, and E&H
     W&L has lost to EMU, VWC, RMC, HSC, BC, and Roanoke.

More results from this afternoon:
Washington & Lee defeated Bridgewater, 75-71.
Guilford has defeated Lynchburg, 91-74, to move to 11-2 in conference.
Randolph barely defeated Emory & Henry this afternoon in Lynchburg, 65-64.

With today's win over LC and RMC's win over VWC, Guilford has to hope a) the Quakers keep winning and b) VWC tops EMU when they meet.  At the moment, the only way GC can win the ODAC outright is if EMU gets a 3rd loss.  A lot of things can happen, though.  What a great ODAC season!

 Danny Jones indeed made the basket, but it was Eric Pugh that split two defenders and made the pass to set Jones up. It was a pretty interesting game. Kudos to the Jackets on the win. We do need someone to step up and be the go to guy.
  Also interesting take of the end of the game on VWC website, as Danny Jones 4 foot in the paint floater is describe as a heave. I never in my life have seen a 6'5' man have to heave the basketball from 4 feet away. I very much dislike going to VWC to see other teams from the ODAC play but today was nice!!

EMU is off to a quick start, beating RC 30 - 9 with 10 minutes left in the first.

deanslist

EMU up 63-45 at the half! Both teams shooting lights out. EMU is 9 for 15 from 3 point range. George Johnson with 18 at the half!

emufan

EMU has picked up their defense while maintaining there offense and led RC by a score of 94-54 with over 10 minutes left in the second.  EMU can flat out score!

On the other hand, does Roanoke even try to play defense? 117 points with 4:05 left - that is embarrassing.

EMU wins it at Roanoke College, 123-73 !!  When is the last time that an ODAC team lost by 50 points at home?

Has an ODAC team ever before lost by 50 points on their own court, or would this be the record?  I've checked some online stats for Lynchburg College and, as bad as they were for 7 seasons (2002-2009), the Hornets' biggest loss AT HOME was by only 46 points (to Guilford on 12/1/07).
