Kudos to the 4 schools that got in. I would love to see 2 quarterfinal games with all ODAC teams.

What a great League it has been this year. Even the bottom half of our league owned a couple of other leagues in the area  ;)!

Coming from the SCAC, give me a rundown on the EMU buzzsaw that Centre faces Friday night?

Overall, I'm happy with how the ODAC was placed.  My only comment would be to say that based on merit, Texas-Dallas did not appear to earn a first-round bye, but I know that placement may have been more related to geography and travel costs.

If any CNU, JCU or Maryville fans need information on the town and venue, please post and I'll help as much as I can.  Welcome to Guilford and Greensboro, NC!

Not very tall but will run, run, run you to death!! VERY streaky and can hit 3's from everywhere at a furious pace. You will think you're still in the game and you turn around and you're down by...like ...25!! Ask R-MC, VWC,or Guilford(or anybody else in the ODAC for that matter)By far the most dangerous of the 4 in the tournament.I think Guilford top to bottom is the best in the conference(perhaps in the nation)but EMU is just plain SCARY with the amount they can score and BURY teams so quickly....Get ready......or they will RUN YOU OVER!

Some of their threes ought to be worth four ... or five!  You go out thirty feet to guard them and they back up a few feet and hit it anyway.  And they put at least four guys on the court who can take the shot.  They are quick.

I am assuming they pressure the ball defensively from one end to the other given that they score 90 a game and force 22 turnovers per contest.

transferring from Hampden-sydney to EMU this year, i definitely was not expecting this kind of a basketball season.  This could be the turn around of what used to be a terrible program.  I am glad to call myself a royal, and to the centre guy, i have to agree with hasanova.  our guys can hit three's from ungodly distances.  we dont have many "huge" guys in the paint, but i feel like we are deep at that position.  Andrew thorne can be a tough guy off the bench.  Its a shame that we dont have Austin Twine  anymore.  the injury to his knee has hurt us alot.  maybe austin being the lone senior will be motivation to his teammates to win for him.   Good luck to everyone, and im sure i will miss the first couple of days of my spring break to watch the games in harrisonburg.

we do do some full court pressure, but i think most of our steals come from D.J. Hinson, Todd Phillips, and Eli Crawford in the half court.  They anticipate passes alot, and get the breakaway dunk.  i think the key for emu going very far will be Eli Crawford.  He has stepped up in a major way, and i look for him to do more.

Guilford has probably got the toughest early matchups (

Yeah, I noticed that too.  What's up with that?

Had a great time in Salem at the Tournament... and it's AWESOME the ODAC has four teams dancin'.  Also, congrats to Roanoke women for getting a much-deserved Pool C bid!

Time to do work, fellas... need to further validate the reward we've been given for a great season in the ODAC.

PA Royals Fan

Two notes, both bummers for me.  1.  Almost wish EMU was going to Albright, since it is about 30 miles from home!  2.  Wonder how it is going to work for students at EMU who want to stay for the games but are supposed to clear out of the dorms for Spring Break?

Wow! After all those difficult basketball years, EMU fans are really enjoying this season! It really makes you appreciate what the Runnin' Royals have done this year after not having much of a basketball history.

After winning the regular season title, and falling short in the semifinals in that fashion, I'm sure EMU is looking forward to Friday night. I thought before the ODAC tournament began that RMC would be the last team that I would want to face at any stage in the tournament. Congrats to Macon on making a run in the conference tournament and improving their chances of making the NCAA's, along with Guilford winning the title!

EMU has had a lot of great moments this season, and Friday (and hopefully Saturday) will be another one! Getting the opportunity to play in the national tournament is pretty amazing, but to host takes it to a whole other level! It looks like the Royals first opponent, Centre, plays a half court style offense (averaging 64.5 points/game) and is really good on the defensive end (opponents average 56.4 points/game). It'll be interesting to see what kind of tempo the game has (hopefully fast paced). Being an EMU Alum, this season has been a lot of fun and hopefully will conclude in Salem. But one game at a time! Go Royals!

I just found out Guilford students start spring break on Friday as well.  Some of the "local" kids and diehards will stay, but it certainly frees up a lot of parking spots!  :)

I'm happy for EMU - hosting is an honor and it'll be an electric atmosphere.  Enjoy it!

My final four for right now.....WILLIAMS, EASTERN MENNONITE, CARTHAGE, AND WILLIAM PATTERON.

MENNONITE AND CARTHAGE IN THE FINALS....

GAME GOES TO CARTHAGE.

May change some things around, but i think that will be it.

I know i know i know...sounds crazy...but ODAC gets mad props.  Our Scots will lose probably to Guilford, but GF will get mopped by EMU!!!!  Make me a believer ODAC!
