Mom and Dad are Santa?  ??? Thanks for ruining that one for me.  I guess I can't ask for the Tigers to finish the season as the ODAC tourney champs and expect to get it now.  Is there anyway we can notify others who don't know about this Santa thing so Hasa doesn't ruin the season for them too!  :D

Just to protect our more "innocent" readers, I've decided to change my wording to "Mom and Dad may be Santa".  Yes, (Brian Hamilton in) Virginia, there is a Santa, but even he may not be able to deliver the Tigers to the ODAC promised land in this stacked ODAC season!

Not only is the ODAC the best conference in D-III, but this is - by far - the best board. You guys rock! Too funny!

Hasa = Maestro of the Quip! Well done :D
My sentiments exactly! Great HASA!!
Thank you, both - I appreciate it.  After 18 years of formal education, a ropes course, a traumatic realization that Mom and Dad may be Santa, an intervention and numerous therapy sessions, my only recognizable skill!  :)

I wasn't worried.  I knew that hasanova was "Son of Santa" all of the time!   ;)

This Wednesday, both Randolph-Macon and Hampden-Sydney will be in Lynchburg at the same time ..... so there could be trouble!   ;)

Hampden-Sydney @ Randolph    7:00 PM
Randolph-Macon @ Lynchburg    7:00 PM
Guilford @ Washington & Lee      7:00 PM

Ah, newbies! :D

The ODAC is now firmly entrenched among the 'power conferences', but that is a recent development.  The traditional top two (WIAC and CCIW), as well as such established power conferences as NESCAC, UAA, and OAC, may beg to differ with the 'top conference' award!  The last three-four years you've had as many top TEAMS as anyone, but to be top conference you've got to lift up those cellar dwellers.

The CCIW Chat (as I will always call it, despite Pat renaming it for archiving purposes) will also take issue with "by far - the best board".  I come to this thread pretty much daily (and have tremendous respect for some of the posters), but you haven't quite reached the level yet of obscure (somewhat obscene, if the reference is understood) jokes and the quoting of Spinoza - all on the same day! ;D

(Though, admittedly, we don't have a poet laureate like Hasa! :-[)

The HSC/Randolph  and Washington and Lee/Guildord games look like they could be really good

Washington and Lee loses @ Ferrum tonight 66-64

Well, perhaps the ODAC has been remiss in not dabbling in the "somewhat obscene":

A Limerick to Toast (Roast?) the CCIW

There once was a conference that caters
To Illini and Badger debaters!
They said with a wail,
"In ice fishin', we trail
Only Gophers as best Master Baiters!"

Mr. Ypsi

Hasa, nice try, but ice fishing is a MIAC thing! ;D

BTW, it has been 2 or 3 years since I last asked: can your name possibly still be accurate, or is it Hadanova by now?! :D  GM should hire you for commercials!

Hampton U SID

VWC 75, Apprentice School 73
Wild second half...VWC up 16 late in the first half and Builders tied it 60-60 with 4:42 left.  Chris Teasley two FT's with 19 seconds left proved to be the difference as a 3-point play and a 3-pointer from the Builders made it 75-73 in the last 19 seconds.

Noted - limerick's been modified to honor the MIAC.  :)

It's very much still "has."  I'll see if I can figure out how to attach a photo.

Thanks.  I tried to load the link you originally posted, but it kept timing out.

Better looking car than I had remembered, and looks to be in great shape. :)  How many miles you got on her now?

Thanks - it is in pretty good shape with 107,800 miles more or less.  I bought it second-hand in Oct. of 1969.  I spoke to the original owner last week - he put about 20,000 on it the first two years before he traded it for a Ford Maverick.  I've been putting the finishing touches on restoring it and cleaned it really well the week leading up to homecoming.

<108K - Jeesh!  I assumed 3 or 400K! :o

My 2003 Honda Odyssey has over 83K; I figure it is just getting broken in!  In the mid to late 70s I bought a '67 Plymouth Fury III with 90K (perhaps my favorite car ever); got another trouble-free 100K before the body rusted away.  Don't you ever drive that gal?! :D
