I still don't think that you understand what I am saying. Obviously a reputation won't score you points, but it will give you the benefit of the doubt as far as the future goes. Naturally, people are going to feel that HSC's young team, just needs some games under it's belt to get going. They brought in some really good players!!!!!! Surely you saw enough games last year to notice that they have some real talent. Do you know how they recruited in that talent..... OFF of their REPUTATION!!!!! Now if you feel that Bridgewater's young team truly has the talent of HSC then maybe they should recieve more respect from Algernon. Maybe Bridgewater will be ranked #19th in the nation next year when they develop as a team a little more!
I am seriously not trying to arrogant about this, but you are refusing to look at the facts. It's okay to be bias about your team, but you can't expect everyone else to have that same postitive outlook. You haven't earned it.
And yes HSC still has a long way to go, with a lot to live up too. I am still not sure that Bridgewater won't come out with it on Saturday.  Our conference is a constant dogfight.
Eagleslam, Since your so intent on comparing the two as equal, you give me your professional opinion. If the Tigers last year played your Eagles this year who would win?

Who on the board has the stats of ODAC basketball teams vs. USA South teams. I think the ODAC teams are dominating.

What happen to Malden at HSC? Did he and Smith have a falling out?

If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

haven't heard from narch, stillfamily, 3sdown, goose13, primetimeplayer & jacketlawyer...this is your 2 minute warning for at least today's game ...5 hours til tipoff...

Curious poll.

Hawley's stats for fg% aren't on the ODAC site; so I guess the person who constructed the poll is an R-M fan. He's a nice player.

But if you're going to dig that deep why not include EMU's Korey Whiting 13.3 ppg & 6.1rpg, and W&L's Greg Bienemann (Yes I'm a Generals fan) 13.1 ppg, 5 rpg  & .608 fg%.
That being said the best players are probably (in no particular order): Sager, Kaase, Adair & Wansley.

It's too early to pick a best; no one has played more than 4 conference games.

Lots of good post players in the ODAC this year.  There should be some entertaining matchups to watch this season.  It also will make comparisons easier when you get two head-to-head meetings during the regular season.

Nope, I'm a Bridgewater fan.

Nine players is already too many.

I liked Whiting too, he would have been my 10th player on my list.  Bienemann was averaging "only" 10.6 ppg on a then 0-8 team before his 33-point performance versus Guilford.  Not really "MVP" material.

Just because we are only 10 or so games into the year doesn't mean we can't have an opinion already on who the best player may be.

It's a message board poll, I think it'll be o.k.

Jim - Odd that RC is playing at 5 or is it just me?  Don't we usually play the late game?

jeloesel

Maroons6thman,
It is the late game.  The Lebanon Valley vs. Ferrum game is underway right now.  I'm out the door to watch the second half.  I'll see you at the 5:00 PM game, or do you have to work late?
