As heard on WUNC out of Chapel Hill today, Peace College in Raleigh is changing its name to William Peace University and will become coed in 2012.  Are the Pacers the next traditionally female college to add men's sports (see Randolph in the ODAC) to the USASAC?  I see men's basketball, soccer and tennis on the horizon - the venues already exist.

Mike Rhoades is a terrific guy and a great coach. The promotion is great too but I wonder how he feels being #2 after running such a successful DIII program for all those years.

Being the asst. HC at VCU is a very good gig.  Probably making two or three times as much money, if not more.  He's got to do what's right for his family and his career goals.  He could stay there for some time, and do well for himself.

Looks like Nathyn Johnson, a 6'4" three-year starter at guard for Grace Academy in Waxhaw, NC (Charlotte area), is coming to Guilford this fall.  I'm pretty sure he was over 1000 points for his HS career.  Watch his spin move in this short YouTube clip.

Would appear that this is the year of the trees across the conference ;D

Basketball is like politics -- it's all about the spin.  :)

Is there a (Spin) Doctor in the House (of Representatives)?

Is there anyone in the House of Representatives who is not?

Former Guilford star Rhett Bonner named as RMC assistant:

Good luck, Rhett - win them all except when you play the Quakers!  :)

Yes, boys and girls, as Dorothy remarked to her little dog Toto after they landed in Oz, "We're not in Kansas anymore!" Exactly, thanks to our illustrious leaders and Congress, we are now in Oz....a make believe world where the hoax is eventually revealed. What to do, what to do! ???

Being the top assistant just means you stand a very good chance of being a future D1 head coach. Not a bad spot to be in to say the least...

Looks like EMu has another outstanding recruiting class. The JR Gray transfer from Mary Washington is a good established college player. Question though, what have Heizer and Romero done since graduating HS in 2008 and 2009 respectively? They would be a senior and junior respectively this year had they entered college right away...

Regarding Jeremy Heizer, this 2008 story said he was heading to Bridgewater.  Did he ever matricualte there?
