What about early season POY picks? I say the frontrunners are Harrison George, DJ Woodmore, and Josh Pittman

I know Ru White wasn't picked to be All-ODAC nor any preseason picks, but this is his last year and just might have something to prove to all the nay-sayers.

Yeah, Ru and Harrison George could prove to be a lethal combo in the ODAC this year. HSC really looks primed to not only be a top ODAC team but to make some noise in the NCAA Tourney as well. They certainly have some very talented players on that roster.

Definitely are looking past Salem, I feel the ODAC is theirs for the taking with one obstacle in the way...THE MARLINS...they beat them last year, they can definitely do it again.

I think you'll find there's a lot more in your way than just VWC.  The ODAC can pin 5 losses on even a good team and then, if you don't win the tournament, too bad.  :)

EMU? EMU? EMU? oh thats right they lost all 5 starters.. Trust me, they will shock some people.................

badcall!

Stillfamily-what happened to the Organ kid from Spotswood?  I hear he is no longer at EMU.  He could play.

**(Let me correct my post....according to sources close to the bball program)**

He forgot about the "student" part of being a "Student-Athlete"...unfortunate. He was good, quick, beat most kids off the dribble. EMU Had a strong recruiting class though, they'll be just fine.

I'm guessing they'll start George, White, Khobi Williamson, Randall Ward, and Ben Jessee, but a number of other players will get a lot of playing time .... including Patrick Corrigan, Alex Potapov, Cam Anderson, Greg Lewis, Fletcher Lumpkin, and Sasha Obradovic.

Also add Keegan Wetzel to the mix.

If this team can implement an effective press, it could get scary for teams with the depth they have this year. They have some pretty good freshmen that aren't going to play much at all because there is so much returning talent.

If they can cut the turnovers and win more consistently on the road, something that plagued them all last year, H-SC hoops will be back on the map where they used to be all the time. Not national championship contending good, but definitely ODAC Championship contender with the ability to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

It is safe to say that the Tigers will be bringing an exciting brand of basketball - I expect lots of dunks, alley oop dunks, and highlight reel blocks!

Cam Anderson should see the court.... heard he was one of the top prospects period in the state of Virginia

Nonconference games for the Quakers include Nov. 11 opening night at Davidson, Greensboro, Methodist, St. Mary's (MD), Emory, Averett, NC Wesleyan, Maryville (TN) and a tournament where we open with Johnson and Wales - Greensboro and Bridgewater are in the other half of the bracket.

Go Quakers!

Cam Anderson is going to be huge player for H-SC. Might start eventually if he or Harrison have the ball handling skills to play the 3 on offense. Each one should be find on the defensive end.

VWC is no. 1 in the D3hoops top 25, Hampden-Sydney is #23... EMU & RMC receiving votes.. surprised to see Guilford not receiving votes as well
