About the only consolation about the debacle was the absence of Mr. Divak and hasanova.  I didn't have to have any embarrassing discussions about the poor showing by the Maroons with them.   :)
Mr. Divac is pretty hard to miss, so you would definitely know if he was there!  I, on the other hand, might more easily blend in the crowd since I'm only 6'1" and 192.   lol  You and I have never met, but I promise Mr. Divac and I try to be a gentlemen win or lose.  I hope I can meet you and some of the other posters this season - maybe in Salem (and yes, I do believe the Quakers will make the tournament!)

You gotta love ODAC basketball. One team loses by 30 one night and wins by 18 the next. Another team wins big and goes to double OT. Then a team you think would win because of their previous record loses big to another top team. It's too much fun!
You're right.  It is fun.  And you know, even though the Quakers lost to both RMC (in OT) and VWC (by 30) on the road last weekend, I still believe we have a shot at beating both teams in Greensboro.  And, on the flip side, I'm not so overconfident as to automatically assume we will beat RC at home.  It's that kind of year ...

[All-Sports Cafe?  Is that somewhat near the Community Inn?  If so, I've been there a few times and love that place, as well as the CI.

You may not know your golf links but you've got the restaurants and bars down pat. :)

Well, after all, he is a member of the bar.

And, obviously, practicing.   :)

Why yes, indeed, on both accounts! :)

On the occasion of the ODAC tournament, why not have a D3 ODAC posters happy hour at the A-SC?  I'd be happy to do some legwork for it.

Just throwing it out there on the table.  Food for thought, gentlemen. . .

I think that would be great.  For the uninitiated, I assume the All Sports Cafe is a landmark that isn't too difficult to find.  If Mapquest will show it, I can find it!

wow.  last night.  if the eagles i watched play last night step onto the courts at E&H and Guilford this weekend....well let's just say, does anyone want to change their pick-ems?  the team i saw play last night will not be losing again to Roanoke or EMU.  let's just hope they keep playing like this.  keeping getting as fired up as they did.

the eagles' first half wasn't looking good at all.  they were down by 8 we went went into the second.  sometime in the second half the eagles decided the marlins weren't gonna with that easy.  it was a fun and exciting game to watch.  Adair is a great playerto watch, finishing with 29 points and 10 rebounds. for the eagles, Michael once again had an impressive night, putting up 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Josh Maupin picked up his game and ended with 16.  I've never seem Clay Michael as fired up as he was last night.  great game guys.

Good.  If I can get at least 4-5 other people to express an interest in it, I'll go on point for it.  I get up to Roanoke quite a bit for business, and have family that live there, so the drive is not a problem.  Since the ODAC tourney isn't that far away (February 18-20), I believe, I'll have to make a move, soon.

Might have to enlist the help of Roanoke area posters who know the management.  That would be key. ;)

I know a lot of you are wondering if I set lines for a living?  I predicted Macon by 10 -15 and thats exactly where the score was.  I dont mean to pat myself on the back, but I feel i must.  I also said Wansley would play lights out and I guess I got that part correct as well.

By the way, did sydney know they were playing Macon last night?  I mean, its a rivalry game against another top 15 team and they play with an intensity level that rivaled a game at W@L on a sunday afternoon.  Bubba needs to get them back on track.

You may be assuming that other teams are not improving and ironing out some problems also.  The weekend trip to E&H and GC can be tough, so it might be best to not count your Eagle eggs before they hatch.  BC may sink their newly honed talons in the Quakers, but we'll see.  :)

Question for the panelists

Is the starting frontcourt of Hawley and Wansley the best in the country?

Wansley and Hawley's combined production is 27.6 points and 14.8 rebounds a game.  They lead a team that is ranked #14 and is 13-2.

Another front court that has great combined production is Wooster's.  Tim Vandervaart and Tom Port are averaging 32.1 points and 14.9 rebounds a game, leading a team that is currently ranked #2 and is 13-1.

In my opinion, Wansley and Hawley are one of the best front courts in the country, but they will need to take their team pretty deep into the NCAA tournament before they can make a claim to being better than some of the other great front courts.  What do you think?
