the ODAC and the USA South ahve signe dna agreement to host a Senior All-Star game with ODAC seniors facing off against USA South Seniors. http://www.odaconline.com/odac%20vs.%20usasouth.htm for more info.

SO the questions is, since each team has to be represented (as long as they ahve a senior), which 15 seniors will represent the ODAC??

W&L doesn't have any seniors and the rest of the ODAC only has about 25. You could get over loaded at guard too. Here at mid season I would pick: BC's Clay Michael & Zach Butler; EMU's E.J. Arrington; E&H's Will Schwartzstein & Gary Kerns; Guilford's L.T. Lockett; HSC's Matt Guill & Aaron Lewek; Lynchburg's Patrick Pryor, Matt Sweeney & Andy ALbright;R-M's Justin Wansley & Patrick Gill; RC's Jared Butler; VW's  Marques Fitch. I'd start Justin Wansley, Jared Butler, Matt Guill, Clay Michael & Patrick Prior.

baselinejam,
Im surprised you would go with 3 big men. And after looking atwho all the seniors are, my list would go the same as yours.

I don't feel very confident about my remaining Bridgewater picks (Eagles losing to the Wasps and beating the Quakers).  I'm now thinking they'll go the other way!

You'd think I'd know my own school!

You can always tell how bright somone is by how much they agree with you. Now the question is does this increase my credibility or hurt it?   :-\

Most ODAC big men aren't really that big - they can get up and down the floor.

Some thoughts from last night.  First and foremost, RMC won because of defense.  Prehmus and Forrester go 0-13, ouch!  RMC played well on offense, but not exceptional.  I'm expecting a better game at Crenshaw, as this rivalry has a tendency to swing back to the other team quickly.  As to the officiating, it seem fairly even and it was at 14 vs 13 fouls.  By the way, who was the HSC player that Gill sent into the stands on a no-call?

A secondary reason for the RMC win was their depth and the play of our freshmen.  DelaGrana and Short have only 2 TOs at the PG.  Carlson comes in the first half and hits a quick 8 points to extend the lead.  During the second half, DelaGrana and Annacone hit big threes at critical times as HSCs attempts a comeback.  At several times during the game, RMC has 3 freshmen on the floor.

The idea about ODAC D3Hoops Posters having a get together in Salem/Roanoke during the ODAC Tournament is a great idea.  I would attempt to attend and think the event would be enjoyable.

On the notion of the best back court at RMC...First, I think it is a honor for these two (Wansley and Hawley) to be in the conversation, but I agree with Algernon that the consideration is all well and good, but for these two to be considered the best this year and memorable 10 years down the road they need to take RMC to places it has not gone before in the NCAA Tournament.

No pressure there, but I think it is a fact!

If there is interest in getting together at the All-Sports Cafe during the ODAC tourney, I'll be glad to make contact with the manager to set up something.  It's about 10 minutes from the Salem Civic Center.   Just let me know.

Do all eight teams play the first day, Saturday, Feb. 18?  If so, maybe something between the two sessions that day would work best.  Maybe some spectators for the first session would be willing to stay over and some spectators for the second session would be willing to arrive early.  And, if you're going to all four games, it would be a nice break in between.  Just a thought ....

Good idea on that one, Hasanova.  In fact, I don't know of any other way it could be done.  I guess all we need to do is wait to see the pairings and times.
