Looking at Cabrini's record so far this season, they have not been tested by any formidable teams yet this year and are certainly beatable by Randolph Macon.  I think Macon is ready to break out and win.  I wish them luck.

"Tested' and "formidable" would be the operative words. Cabrini did beat St Mary's, currently ranked #9, by 6 points and Scranton (who beat R-MC the 2nd game of the season) by 9 points.

Yes, Cabrini has played a couple of "formidable" teams.  #9 St. Mary's appears to have "tested" them, staying within 6 points.

On the other hand, Cabrini actually beat Scranton (a team that 's getting Top 25 votes and had defeated RMC) by 19 points, 98-79.  They weren't much tested by that top-quality squad.

In my mind, RMC winning on the road at #4 Cabrini would be an even bigger upset than HSC winning at home vs #5 Williams on January 2.  I'd love to see the ODAC win both of these games.

Thanks, y_jack_lok, for the OOC posting.  Interesting.  +1

1) We've established that I can't subtract.
2) I agree that for R-MC to win on the road at Cabrini could be considered an upset -- not a huge upset, but still an upset.

Both RMC and HSC cannot afford too many more losses without being forced to win the ODAC tourney to gain a berth into post season play. Both schools know that. I'd be surprised if both don't start winning some games, lots of games. As always I look forward to the matchups against GC, VWC and RMC. I know there are other teams good enough to beat HSC; I just can't get into it unless it's against the ones I mentioned.

Wishing good luck & Merry Christmas to all the ODAC programs, there've really been some surprises so far this season.

Congrats to VWC & GC for keeping the conference in the Top 25!

GO JACKETS!!!

RMC is one of the ODAC programs that scares the "heck" out of me every time we play you.  I could tell when RMC/GC met a few weeks ago, the Yellow Jackets have great athletes.  Perhaps it was that one night, but poor shooting hurt RMC from both the field and the line.  I'm no coach, but I felt GC was more disciplined.  I can tell you're going to be a force in the ODAC again this year and I'm glad we don't play you during the Holiday classic at Ashland between Christmas and New Year's!

I think the HSC-Williams match up may give us one of the more entertaining big man matchups of the year.  Mayer for Williams has missed the last 5 games with an ankle injury but I expect him to be back for their trip South.  He'll have a couple games at the W&L tournament to knock the rust off and the team can finally settle into its true rotation assuming everyone is healthy coming off of break.  Williamson will definitely have the strength and quickness advantage so it will be fun to see those two go at it.

HSCDad

H-SC 60 Randolph 56   H-SC up by 12 and Randolph came back and went in lead by 51-47 before H-SC came back. Better foul shooting at end for H-SC.  Williamson had only 7 points but 10 rebounds - Obradovic had good night with 13  and Murray was leading scorer with 22.  Wimbish from Randolph shot the lights out going 6 for 6 with 3 - 3's.  Glad H-SC back in winner's column - good confidence builder to start break

ODACATS

Good win for H-SC last nite. Randolph showed some fight by coming back from down 12 to briefly take the lead late in the game on the road. H-SC better down the stretch.  Wimbish was unconscious for the Cats.

Thought I would share the latest version of this, through yesterday's games (12/11), except only the top ten instead of all 40+ conferences. ODAC is #1 at the moment -- by the slimmest of margins.

D3 vs Non Conference D3

1   ODAC      34-14  0.708
2   NESCAC  53-22  0.707
3   UAA         41-18  0.695
4   Newmac 44-20  0.688
5   WIAC       27-13  0.675
6   CCIW       33-16  0.673
7   MACC     25-13  0.658
8   OAC         25-14  0.641

Happy for the victory but sounds like HSC continues to struggle on offense. Maybe the long break will help them find their game. I know they have it in them.

I think it is more adjusting to life post-Harrison George.  When you have a player like Harrison that can bail an offense out and attract attention it makes things a whole lot easier.  I believe the talent is there, they are still finding an identity and learning how to play together without Harrison.
