Guilford (13-4, 6-2) over Washington and Lee (6-11, 3-5) rather handily in Greensboro 71-56. The Generals jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead, but the Quakers rebounded to a 26-13 advantage about 5 or 6 minutes later. After trailing 43-24 at the half, W&L was much more aggressive on defense, but it wasn't enough. Hyatt hit 5 threes and scored 17 and McCarthy, Koppenhaver and Rice all added 12 for GC. Franz and Sherwood scored 12 and 10, respectively, for W&L.

I'm sorry I'm going to miss Saturday's EMU at Guilford game ... I've been invited to the VaTech at WFU game at 2 in Winston-Salem and the ODAC game in Greensboro's at 4 ... don't see how I can do both.

Still can't get over how many close games EMU has been in! Their 3 ODAC losses are by a combines 4 points. All of their losses (5) are by a combined 10 points. Crazy

Yes, it's an epidemic on campus. Nearly 10% of the student body has contracted it within less than 24 hours. I don't have details on which players are out, although I was told seven and not eight, but obviously some of them are going to be contributors. We have 17 players, two of which are out for the year. So that means we're down to only 7 or 8 active players for tonight.
