Did it last through the Wesley game also?  :)

will HSC be forced to forfeit to E&H ?

Note to Pat Coleman:  I know he also needs to have a good game against EMU tomorrow, but please put Matt McCarthy of Guilford on your short list for Team of the Week.  Some of the shots he made to force an OT ... and then win it in double OT ... at E&H were stellar.  With 44 against the Wasps, #13 has a legitimate shot (pun intended) at a 60-point week!

I doubt it ... with another three weeks in the season, I bet a Monday night make-up game is in the offing on the 9th or 16th.

Hope the Tigers get past the virus fast.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.

R-MC has a tough one ahead today in Lynchburg.

GO JACKETS!!!

And now classes and activities can't resume until Wednesday, so we'll have to play Guilford after having not practiced for a week since our last practice was Tuesday and then it was without several players...

I was wondering how that would go this week ... might be a little tough to get back in the flow.   Guilford beat EMU today, 64-48.

I see the Jackets survived another close road game.

That's what good teams do, win close road games in a tough conference.  The Jackets have got to be the toughest team to game plan against.  You never know where the points are coming from.  The Hornets defended the perimeter well, and gave themselves a chance.  The Jacket defense was not performing well on Saturday, giving up too many easy shots.  Will be fun to watch the rest of the season.  I was tough on this Jackets team early in the season, but they're making me a real believer.

Yes, the Jackets have proven to be the best in the ODAC. Lets hope they don't peak too soon and can do some damage in the big dance. I'm assuming VWC will get an invite as well assuming the ODAC tourney winner is not a complete surprise.
I've not seen an ODAC game this year but do check the scores. Is it safe to assume that RMC and VWC are the class of the ODAC or is that assumption incorrect.  Any others capable of making a serious run (I don't mean pulling an upset/I mean winning 3 or 4 games in the tourney) ?

Guilford is playing good basketball at the moment, having won 6 in a row and improving their record to 15-4, 8-2.  Three of their 4 losses were to ranked teams (RMC, VWC and Emory) and observers say nothing went right when they lost at Catholic (including Coach Palombo getting tossed ... never seen that before).  The Emory Eagles won 77-75 in Atlanta on a heavily contested fall-away shot at the buzzer, but the Quakers were soundly beaten by RMC and VWC ... so no disagreement that those two teams are better than Guilford at this juncture.  The Quakers do not play the Jackets again in the regular season, but do close the ODAC schedule at the beach on the 21st.   Six games to play:  2 at home (Roanoke and BC) and 4 on the road (HSC, SU, LC and VWC).

GC is certainly catching HSC at the right time so I don't see that game being very competitive. Going to VWC probably goes in the loss column. LC will be compeitive and SU can be competitive at home. GC should win the two remaining home games. #3 seed certainly within reach.
