Vwc advances to its 5th straight sweet 16. Wow that is impressive As a program and a coach. Macedo gets it done year in and year out.

The games will definitely be either at RMC or Dickinson.

RMC's criteria is better... be surprised, really surprised if it ends up at Dickinson. RMC can also seat more which is also part of the site selection criteria (ticket revenue).

Welp, I'll be in Ashland this weekend! Already was going to be in Richmond anyway for the birthday party of my friend's son and for the VHSL State Championships, but I was hoping the sweet sixteen/elite 8 were part of my plans also!

Congrats to RMC and VWC!  Wonderful and well-deserved that the Yellow Jackets get to host a sectional again, the first time since 2003.  Tiger fans fondly remember the last time a sectional was held in Crenshaw, but we won't be rooting against the host this time ... ;)

Wow.  Can any other team in the country make that claim, that they've made it to the Sweet Sixteen 5 years in a row?!!!  Tremendous accomplishment, for sure.

Anyone have ticket info for the games this weekend?

I don't think anyone can... because VWC is the only team in the last three according to KnightSlappy... so five would also be a rare feat.

Given VWC's program prior to Macedo, what he's been able to accomplish is miraculous....

How come VWC's Men's Basketball site shows that the Sweet 16 games are being hosted by Dickenson?

http://vwcathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2014-15/schedule

Do they know something that R-MC has not been told?

I hope rmc1982's info is more accurate.

Guess they haven't updated their site with the most current information. This past week, I'm not sure they even had the first-round game on the schedule until less than 24 hours before the game.

Agreed, he's no slouch, but he played at VWC and coached the women's team....the former men's coach was Butterfield, who had one NCAA tournament appearance in eleven years.

Swish3-I stand corrected.....I knew Polumbo came from VWC....I assumed he was head MEN's coach.... ::) ;)
