For most conferences... NESCAC starts two weeks later... Centennial starts somewhere between Oct. 15 and Nov. 1 depending on mid-terms and mid-semester breaks for their institutions.

Yeah I just meant the first official day for it, not everyone starts on the 15th even outside the NESCAC or Centennial. One year we started a day or two later because the 15th came right at the end of fall break and we just let the kids have the whole break.

I know everyone is focused on football at the moment, but with practice starting on Saturday it would be great to see an R-MC roster. With only one loss to graduation, if everyone else is back, and with a little help from newcomers, the Jackets have the potential for a nice season. Not sure how the rest of the conference teams will differ from last year, but I'd guess that most lost more to graduation. Looking forward to what will happen Nov-Feb.

E. Mennonite has a nice frosh(Chloe Roach) to go with their 3 high scorers from last year.

^^^ The only Chloe Roach I could find is a girl from Tuscarora H.S. in Leesburg, so maybe your info belongs on the women's board --or did I miss something? Also, didn't Jess Reinheimer graduate and wouldn't she have been one of the top three scorers for the EMU women last season?

Jake Duncan returns for HSC, past him I really do not have a clue what the Tigers have for the upcoming season.
Hopefully HSC will improve over last years finish !!!

The H-SC roster is posted: http://hscathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2016-17/roster. Eight freshmen, nine upperclassmen. I recognize some of the names, but wouldn't know if there are any transfers.

You're right on both counts - should have been on the women's board and Jess was a a senior last year. Too anxious for the season to start.

Only incoming transfer is Jack Costigan from UNC Asheville. He redshirted last year so still has four years to play. Did lose Andrew Evans (money) and Gray Cheers (closer to home, major not available at HSC), only two non-graduating major losses.

But fun fact about freshman Tyler Barry. He's the grandson of Rick Barry and the son of Jon Barry, which means his uncles are Brent Barry, Drew Barry, and Scooter Barry.

Hoping Rick Barry shows up on campus one of these days now!

Rick Barry's youngest son is still playing.  I think he maybe transfered this year - he's in D1 somewhere.

Looked it up.  Canyon Barry graduated from College of Charleston last year and did a graduate transfer to Florida, so he'll be shooting underhanded FTs for the Gators this year.  Has Tyler taken on the family tradition?

Do not know. My guess is probably not. That is one heck of a basketball family. Let's hope some of them excellent basketball genes made their way to a third generation!

Technically, 10 returnees, 4 freshmen, and 1 transfer from Canisius.
