Thanks, Pat.

Emory and Henry leads the Tigers at half-time 54-49.

11 seconds in the game, RMC up 1 and Roanoke has the ball..Timeout

Wow...RMC escapes with a 1 point win!!!  Maroons had 2 shots at the hoop in the last 11 seconds and could not get it in.  Roanoke had an excellent 2nd half  but just came up short.  Maroons came back from 16 down after 1 to lead much of the 2nd half

RMC only scores 18 points in the 2nd half!!!

Sorry about not having the Live Scoreboard again today/tonight.  I'm in Nininger Hall for the EMU/BC men's and women's double header.

Well, looks like you all were correct about the last poll:

Guilford does a 28-2 run over Lynchburg during the last 11 minutes of the 1st half and ends up winning by 16, 71-55.

Bridgewater defeats EMU 81-72 (i think that was the final score).   ;D

Just got back from the EMU/BC game.  Excellent atmosphere ... pack house (again).  Both teams missed "easy" shots and lay-ups, and there were a ton of fouls (Bridgewater was in the bonus with 12 minutes left in the game).  VERY high intensity ... a lot of yapping going on by both sides, but it just added to the drama.  The Eagles I saw tonight was a totally different team than what I saw a couple weeks ago.  IMO, Kevin Nmah makes the difference starting at point guard.

W & L was the first team all year to not try and double team Brandon Adair and he got 23 points while his counter part Tyler Fantin scored 22.  If the VWC guards start playing like Ton Ton Balenga did tonight, the Marlins could be very very special.  I am nervous about Roanoke tommorrow, they are playing some tough tough basketball.  The only good thing is that most teams who play RMC tight the day before get handled by the Fish the next day.  I guess we will see....

It looks like EMU has some work to do to get back in the ODAC hunt.  I wasn't at the game tonight but it seemed as if rebouding and missed lay-ups were a big part of this loss.

EMU needs to get back to the basics and what Coach Dean knows best and that is hard nose, all out hustle DEFENSE.  EMU opponents are shooting 48% against them.  This percentage is too high to be consistently success.

Good luck to Coach Dean and the Royals as they continue playing in the tough ODAC.

I got to attend this one. I was very worried when Clay Michael got foul #3 but that zone kept him from more fouls.
BC is 4-7 in the ODAC and has a decent shot at making it to the ODAC tournament. The team is playing fairly well for a young squad right now.
I had my radio with me with the Lowe/Phipps broadcast and switched to the JMU game from time to time so Cathlin could hear how his brother was playing.

I have said that I thought BC would beat someone they were not supposed to before the year was over.  And, since Clay Michael is the ONLY Eagle's player who would get any playing time whatsoever for EMU, I guess this must have been the one!  Michael had another double-double (20 and 11), Fox had 18, and Maupin added 13.  They outrebounded the Royals 41-34, and shot 51.9% as compared to 38.7%.  Beyond the arc, the Eagles were 6 for 9 and EMU was 9 for 24.  Not a bad performance by the Eagles against a team that only ONE player could play for.

I know you have mentioned Kevin Nmah before.  What do you think he brings to the table that makes the difference?  I saw Kris Cecil start against H-SC, and I thought he did a good job against them.  Obviously, you see them a lot more than I do, so I was just curious.

And the Royal streak ends at one! And a new streak begins!

He's "only" about 6'1'' ... but has a wingspan of about 6'6''.  That gives him a sizable advantage on defense, seeing that Cecil is only 5'5'' or so (the roster says 5'8'', but I think that's just being nice).  In the four games I've seen (Cecil starting in one, Nmah starting in one), I felt like we got out to a quicker start with Nmah in the game.  IMO, he is better at creating shots for others ... whereas Cecil is a better shooter.  With Maupin on the floor at shooting guard, I'd rather have a point guard who can create shots for others.

In the two games Nmah has started, he has had a total of 10 assists, seven steals and one turnover.  Not shabby.
