Jackets win at Lynchburg 70-64.... didn't see much except the last 10 minutes... we missed some FT down the stretch  that could've hurt us! A GOOD WIN on the road!

Final in Harrisonburg:  Guilford 70, EMU 52

Guess who's alone in second place.

I was able to watch almost all of it. A very good game. Jon Nowell had a huge block with 20 seconds left, after one of those missed free throws, that might have been the difference. If Lynchburg's Wright makes that layup it is a 3 point game.

Also want to compliment Lynchburg on a great broadcast in every way -- picture, sound, commentary, camera work. Well done.

Congrats. Glad R-MC doesn't have to play you again in the regular season.

They're the only d3 team that I've seen whose online has replay ability during the game.  They also have hilarious commercials about Lynchburg University(they're like ESPN early 2000 commercials).

In other sadder news Roanoke started off their tough stretch with a loss.  Virginia Wesleyan was better in every facet of the game. I see 3 more losses in a row for Roanoke as VWU was probably the easiest team RC will play in the next 2 weeks.

So I was thinking of breaking up the top tier teams since I've seen every ODAC team play and here's what I've come up with:

Top tier teams

Randolph Macon, Guilford, Lyncburg

Maybe contenders

Washington and Lee, VWU, Emory and Henry

Middle Pack

Roanoke, EMU

Lower tier

Ferrum, Shenandoah, Randolph, Hampden Sydney, Bridgewater

A bunch of schools do in-game replays, but I did enjoy the end of the Lynchburg broadcast. It is well produced.

I was also going to comment that I've seen replays in broadcasts from other schools.

Wow, Seatfiller predicts 3 more losses in a row for Roanoke, so I had to check their schedule -- home vs Lynchburg, at R-MC, home vs Guilford. Brutal. Would love to see Roanoke win those two home games.  :)

Not very well-produced ... yet ... but Eastern Mennonite had replays.

Congrats on GC's continued success. If ODAC plays out with no/few  surprises does the conference have chance getting two teams into NCAA tourney ?

Thanks, tfa2.  I fear GC's five losses may hurt if we don't win the ODAC tournament.  The one that really hurt was blowing a 15-point second-half lead in a home loss to 2-16 Greensboro.  Yikes.

Congratulations to Guilford's Kyler Gregory on being named ODAC Player of the Week.  Gregory scored 25 with 12 rebounds in a road win at Lynchburg and had 10 points and 8 boards in a road win at EMU.  Well earned.

It is, indeed.  I look forward to being stateside on Saturday to get my first look at HSC this season.  I've been in London all week, but did catch the Quakers and the Royals on the www Saturday night.  Isn't technology great!

Welcome home. My daughter is in London for the entire semester and loves it.

Let me know if HSC is as bad as their record indicates.
