$10k per year tuition on a coaches salary is not going to be easy especially if you have multiple children. PE system is not the best but seemingly has worked well for many kids of HSC employees.

I will not post any more on the new b'ball coach but I do look forward to getting the right person in the seat and getting this situation in the rear view mirror.

Again, good luck to both RMC & Guilford this weekend. I know Hasa is in heaven with his Quakers hosting and I'm certain RMC followers are as well. Give 'em hell.

The H-SC basketball head coach gets paid very well, to say the least.

Good luck to the Jackets and Quakers tonight.

Congrats to the Jackets and Quakers on two good wins. Looks like GC didn't struggle too much and the R-MC score would indicate the same, but that game was not as easy as the score makes it seem. Morrisville just not deep enough to keep up in the end. All five Jacket starters hit double figures. Good to see Grayson Midulla back in action for the Jackets.

Happy to see the ODAC go 2-0 tonjght. Tougher games await tomorrow. Get rested and be ready.

Excellent job, Guilford and Macon.  I watched the Guilford game and it was pretty much a blow out from the start. I thought Guilford would get up by almost 50 towards the end of the game.  Good luck to Guilford and Macon tomorrow get another W, survive and advance, my favorite time of the year.

To say Guilford played well tonight would be an understatement.  Our first half shooting percentages were terrific.  Coach Palombo went deep on the bench at the end and that kept the Quakers from reaching 100.  I watched both games and Wittenberg is good ... a tougher game Saturday, I think.

Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets ... nice win tonight.  I'm pleased the ODAC is 2-0!

Darryl Williams and Corey Bays really stepped up for the Jackets last night! Midulla played hurt but he played and hopefully will be better tonight! York hit a bunch of 3's too so we have our hands FULL tonite! Couldn't go last night but riding up to The Center of the Universe with my Frat bro Jesse Hellyer and his wifey tonight!! CRENSHAW should be ROCKING!! Can't wait to get to "Section 33" with all of my old friends!!  If you don't have to holler at the person next to you then we're not making enough NOISE!! GO JACKETS!! Let's ROCK THE HOUSE TONITE!

^^^ York looked really good last night -- 14 of 27 three pointers. Very tough interior defense. If the Jackets can hit their 3s (DeSales couldn't last night) it could open up the inside. Good luck Jackets.

Jackets advance to the Sweet 16 78-60 in Crenshaw!

ODAC is 4-0 ... two teams in the Sweet 16!

Congratulations to RMC for their win over York tonight.  In Greensboro, it was tight with a couple of lead changes and ties, but GC controlled the boards and won 70-61.  Spirited crowd at Ragan-Brown ... home court worth a few points tonight, but I believe the Quakers can play with almost all DIII teams at this point in the season.  Pollsters see 7 (mostly early season) losses and are omitting us from the Top 25.  Not at all sure where next foursome will play, but watching the boards with interest tomorrow to find out.

Don't know who is hosting Guilford's pod, but Guilford is flying somewhere. THey are well beyond 500 miles away from everyone in their pod. My guess is Loras, but Oshkosh, Loras, and St. Thomas are all located within 300 miles of each other so maybe they just give it to the highest seeded team remaining in Oshkosh since Guilford is flying no matter what.

Macon might just be hosting again as all four teams in that pod are within 500 miles of each other. But Amherst is the highest seeded team remaining in the pod, and Swarthmore is pretty centrally located so any three of those would be in play, I would think. Don't know how much mileage comes into play when teams are going on a bus.

But Amherst is the highest seeded team remaining in the pod,

Actually Randolph-Macon is ranked #5 and Amherst #7 in most recent D3 poll.  Swarthmore is ranked ahead of Amherst as well at #6. Macon and Amherst are both are #1 in their regional polls, South and Northeast respectively.  Swarthmore 2nd (Mid-Atlantic).

Based on the way the bracket was created, Amherst is the "#1 seed" in it even though the NCAA refuses to actually seed the teams, at least publicly. The top 25 poll is irrelevant to the bracket.

GREAT GAME and a great CRAZY LOUD CRENSHAW CROWD tonight! Game was really close until  York missed a few times and the Jackets rained about 4 3's in a row! Each defensive stop the crowd got louder and louder.... I haven't heard Crenshaw that loud since the Regional finals  vs VWC a few years ago! I spoke to people in our athletic department and they said realistically we have about a 25% chance to host... Amherst was the favorite but with the NCAA anything can happen! Hoping that we get the chance but not really counting on it. Congrats to the Quakers and also CNU who also won big tonight in NNews! Let's see if we can ALL keep it going!
