Now for my W&L plug. The Gennies are at home and they'll suit up 10 players averaging over 10 minutes a game and we had 5 in double figures against R-M.We shoot better. If we keep them off the offensive boards and protect the ball, then I predict a win for the Generals.

How do you like that I'm quoting myself----
OK we didn't shoot well, protect the ball or keep E&H off the offensive the boards & the Gennies get drilled at home.
If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

The system worked one night at home. Good for E&H.

Emory & Henry's always good at home.  This is their record over the past 3 seasons:
HomeAwayNeutral
2003-04    10-15-62-3
2004-05    6-53-91-1
2005-06    5-21-62-1
All 3 Years:    21-810-277-6

for anyone who was at the lc vs. macon game:

what was the deal with one of the worst offensive performances in odac history? was macon's D ridiculously good, or was LC's offense ridiculously bad, or somewhere in between?

LC just had terrible night offensly, as did Macon. Intense defense on both sides. Pity that Wansley couldn't play. Pity.

I was able to make it to the EMU vs. Roanoke game tonight, and I was impressed with the Royals.

Korey Whiting really impressed me. He moved the ball well and played excellent defense. He hit all 12 of his free throws and finished with 24 points. He also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block.

E.J. Arrington and Jason Sager also played big for EMU with 21 pts. 10 boards and 20 pts. 16 boards respectively.

I have not been able to make it to many games this year, but every game I have made it to I have continued to be impressed with the competitive nature of the ODAC.

Let's see..... Lynchburg shot the ball 49 times and made 12, 3 of 13 from 3 point nirvana, and 7-14 from free throw land. Not to mention the 41 to 27 rebounding disadvantage. My God, Scottie.... what's going on?

The Tigers have a fine team, but there was some awful officiating tonight.  H-SC leads a charmed life ...   The Technical on Palombo was not justified.

the question is will emu continue after this ever so important odac win against RC, or will they not show up to play against HSC this sat....its been up and down all year for this young team, its time to put it together and make a run in themost important time of year......lets go royals!!!

It looks like the Emus outplayed the Maroons in nearly all facets of the game.   They hit the boards better.  They were much more aggressive on offense, getting to the line, and making their free throws.  They shot a much better percentage of their threes, something that is usually a strength for Roanoke.  They deserved this win.

Time again for the Maroons to regroup.

Furthermore, it's all <'s fault.   :)
