Okay so apparently they decided to air last year's selection show at 1 pm when the 2023 selection show was originally set to air. Have it on mute at work and it didn't say 2022 anywhere on the screen so didn't know.

The level of stupidity by the NCAA never ceases to amaze me.
I don't think that you're the only one confused.  The D3HOOPS link to the NCAA site says 'probable link'.  The NCAA seems to confuse everyone!

Great I accidentally refreshed the stream and it started from the beginning with no option to skip ahead to live. Idiotic NCAA strikes again

Tigers host!  First game is against Emory (17-8).

Unsurprisingly, the Yellow Jackets host.  Sadly, the Quakers didn't get a bid.

ODAC deserved 3 teams but with the upsets yesterday I knew either HSC or Guilford would be left out.  Good luck to RMC and HSC in the NCAA tourney!

Algernon lives!  Welcome back!  Congrats on the hosting.  Only happens because CNU can't host.  Plus the committee did not do the Tigers any favors with Emory and than probably CNU.  A very tough pod.  Good luck!

The below is a great observation.

I do think the top four teams across each bracket are fairly close in quality.  But looking deeper the bracket of death this year is pretty clearly the bottom right: two first round match-ups between two top 25 teams.  Plus a very tough HSC-Emory matchup.  The bracket features the #2, 4, 9, 14, 15, 17, 20, 21, and 25th ranked teams.  CNU and St Joe's are definitely teams in the very top group of contenders to win it all and there are 4-5 very strong teams behind them.

The H-SC pod and the St. Joseph pod are both brutal.

What's the best campus parking lot for Crenshaw gym for the games this Friday? Day Field?

I think the Brock Center lot is reserved for YJ Club donors . I park sometimes at the Old Chapel lot across from my old fraternity, the SAE house on College Ave. You may find something closer but it's easy to get in/ get out of IF you can find a spot there, and you usually. can. You'll have to walk a bit past the fountain , a few dorms and Brock Commons, but it's not very far- really not much farther than the Brock Center lot.

All good choices by '82.  But, honestly, RMC is a compact campus, so anywhere that you can find a spot will be close.  Street parking, especially along the train tracks, is another good option.  One thing that I loved about RMC was that you could be anywhere on campus in 5 minutes.

Looking at the CNU hosting issue, I've got a question for the playoff gurus.  Can a school host both men and women if they have two gyms that meet NCAA requirements?  Or, is it simply not allowed?  I know few schools have multiple gyms, but if they do?

22-6 overall
13-3 in a tough conference (all losses to Top 25 teams)
Made it to the finals of the conference tournament
Three losses to #1 team in the country - could have beaten them in 2 of those games
Beat Emory by 15 at Emory
Beat HSC in the conference tournament semifinals
Ranked 13th in the nation

Did not make the tournament.

The system is broken.

Not allowed - the NCAA committee emphasizes a good tourney experience for the student athletes and that would be negatively affected by the hosting athletic department conduct(attention to details, practice time, parking, staff, trainers, etc.) being spread among multiple facilities.

It's not done.  I think there's some question over whether that's a rule or a guideline, and I definitely know there are some schools pushing to at least be able to apply - put in a host bid for both and let the committees decide if its acceptable.  A lot of it comes down to equity.  I don't think you'd ever get a dual host if they were planning to use two different gyms.

^^^ Thanks for the clarifications.  I know several years ago, RMC lost out on a hosting opportunity when both teams qualified for the tournament.  The men's team was a top ranked team with 100% chance to host, however the school requested a hosting chance for the women's team, whose chances to host was excellent as well.  Not sure if it was a RMC decision or a NCAA guidance to request the women's host.  The request to host for women didn't happen for some obscure reason (don't remember the details) and the men lost an opportunity.  Maybe someone else can fill in the details, or maybe I'm remembering it totally wrong.  But, it sounds like the NCAA now dictates priority, such as this year with CNU, women over men for this cycle.  Being able to apply for both may have avoided this scenario.  I remember it was a big issue on the RMC campus at the time.
