I'm betting that Virginia Wesleyan will rise from #23 to about #20 in the next national poll, with the Yellow Jackets falling from #18 to about #22.

Kasse will not play for HSC tonite nor Saturday. He injuried his ankle about three minutes into the EMU game and played very little. Evidently the injury is pretty bad and he will day to day and will not play at all this week. Things do not look good for HSC w/o him for the regular season !!! Hopefully he will be full recovered by tournament time.

That is too bad about Kaase.  He has my most heartfelt wishes for a rapid recovery.

That sounds about right, unless RMC slips another spot or two.

Sorry to hear about Kaase and likewise I hope he's back soon.  Seems like a really good kid as I know RMC really wanted him, too.

sucks to have Kaase out, but with their recent struggles it could be a good thing. It means that the team will have to bring a more balanced attack to the floor, and teams arent used to playing against HSC this year without Kaase, so it makes it more difficult to prepare for HSC because they probably won't be running everything the same now. Teams may also come in underrating the Tigers now that he is out, people may come in thinking it could be a much easier win without Kaase. Also, the rest of the Tigers may be more focused on the task at hand and turn out some good games.

How does everyone have the ODAC tournament pairings shaping up?  Here is what I think will happen:

1-Virginia Wesleyan               3-Guilford
8-Bridgewater                        6-Eastern Mennonite

4-Hampden-Sydney                2-Randolph-Macon
5-Emory and Henry                 7-Roanoke

Way too early to know how the seedings fall. W/O the injuries at RMC and HSC I
see RMC finishing in a tie for 1st place and HSC finishing 3rd. If Wansley is 100% I see them beating VWC at the beach. The regular season will largely be determined by the key injuries and when those two guys can return to their respective  teams. That is my opinion.

Tonight, Hampden-Sydney gets back in the win column, but it won't be easy.
Lynchburg gets crushed by Eastern Mennonite, and < falls back farther in the pick'em.

my picks for tonights games.....is there a link to listen to LC vs EMU game...???

ODACfan1

Eastern Mennonite vs. Lynchburg...Mennoninte is way too athletic for the Hornets...Lynchburg needs to zone them to keep it close

Bridgewater vs. Hampden Sydney...Sydney is better with or without Kasse...must keep Michael and Fox off the boards

mybleedinghands

zone is moronic defense by the way. zone should only be played by teams that can't play man-to-man.

EMU up 8 at the half, i think its 42-34 but I have forgotten.
