Phew, thank goodness.  I didn't know EMU provided those.  The EMU radio crew was giving me a headache - very monotone.

the W&L radio guy seemed to get excited about everything when we went to play them. W&L couldf have put up a three pointer from 30 feet and the shot could ahve come 10 feet short of the rim and the guy would get excited.

Haha ... yeah.  I'd hate to be his roommate.

VWC wins 70-51. Andy Albright finishes the game with 3 steals. Now he is only 3 away from breaking the record.

H-SC played by far their best game of the year...getting out to a 46-23 lead over Guilford at the end of the first half.  They coasted from there to a 96-57 final.  Drew Prehmus finished with 19.  Every Tiger scored.

Game was available via video streaming on the web.  I could really get spoiled with this. ;D

Congratulations to the Tigers.  VERY disappointing, however, from my point of view.  I don't know what it is when the Quakers play Hampden-Sydney.  The Tigers certainly have talented players, but I honestly think it is partly psychological when we play those guys.  Again, the Tigers are a fine a team and it was Senior night, but the Quakers simply aren't that bad.  Since the Tigers have swept the season series, however, they will clinch 3rd if they win one of their final two road games versus RMC & LC.  Even if GC beats both RC and W&L at home and both squads finish 11-7, the Tigers would have the tiebreaker.  I really didn't want the Quakers to play E&H again in the ODAC tournament, but that's how it seems to be shaping up in a 4-5 contest.   C'est la vie!  To paraphrase the immortal Kermit the Frog, sometimes it's not easy being Quaker.   :-\

Nova,

Just wanted to point out that Jordan Snipes did not play tonight.  Word from the broadcast announcers was that he was recently involved in a car accident and doctors did not clear him to play because of a possible concussion.  Jordan was present; however, and indicated to the broadcast team that he felt fine and wished he could play.  Jordan is an important player for you guys, and I believe his absense contributed to some of the Quakers first half instability.

Good luck the rest of the way.

I'm sure they have their moments, but tonight was pretty brutal.  Might have been because the Royals got down early and were never really in it ... but still.  There would be five-minute gaps where they would just say "and now the Jackets lead by 22" and never say the score or time.

I, once again, enjoyed listening to Coach Bill and Scott Lowe from Bridgewater ... but they've been in the game awhile.  The W&L radio guy (sounded like a student) was very good as well.

Thanks, seminoletiger.  I wasn't aware of Jordan's situation.  I missed the start of the broadcast and just figured Palombo had become so frustrated he was trying everyone (which is also probably true).  I did notice Jordan's brother Justin got more playing time than he normally does.  Yeah, let's hope Jordan is OK for a lot of reasons, the least of which is his importance to the Quakers - which he certainly is.   Sometimes, as they say, it's just not your night!   :-\  Good luck to the Tigers, too.

Bad game to watch at the beach tonight.  Both teams were very flat.  VWC was lucky they weren't playing a top team or they may have been in trouble.  The box score doesn't really show much, but there was little intesity etc.  The Marlins spread the ball out, putting four guys in double figures.  I am still rooting for Marques Fitch to get his 1000 points.  He is about 50 away.  He hasn't had a great year this year because his knee still isn't healthy, but what a great 4 year career this kid has had and what a great kid he is.

If Adair gets into foul trouble they are going to have a very difficult time.

I agree that the Marlins aren't dominate underneath, but if you have seen Brandon Adair play, he doesn't get into foul trouble.  Infact, I would bet that over his 3 years he has had less than 12 or so games with more than 3 fouls.

Roanoke played great for 10 minutes of the first half and the last six minutes of the second half; the other 24 minutes they were sleepwalking.  It was good enough to beat a Bridgewater team that appeared flat throughout.  Before the game I tried to get Eaglelady to wager a Moonpie on the outcome, but she said she's from Maine and can't relate to those things.  It must be quite a learning experience for the young lady to sojourn in the land of the RCs and Moonpies.   :)
