Please tell me that you honestly don't think that Emory and Henry has great shooters?  Maybe "good" shooters, but not great shooters.

WASPS take down Lynchburg today in Emory.  All I can say that is it looks like E&H is hitting its stride going into the tournament.  It seems as if Hank Luten and Shavar Bland have refound their stroke to go along with all the great shooters the WASPS have.  Luten had a big first half hitting 3 threes to really jump-start the Emory attack.  Shavar Bland, Camillo Weinz, and Cain Landreth took over in the second half as EMORY  was in complete control after halftime.  Great win on Senior Day as Will Schwartstein and Gary Kerns were honored as the lone seniors.  Big game at Roanoke on Tuesday.  It is definitely exciting in Emory heading into the last week of the season.  GO WASPS!

do you happen to know how many steals andy albright had? apparently E&H has the slowest SID on earth.

Listened to the VWC game on the internet, and I must say that the announcers were super.  Very professional and knowlegeable and a real pleasure to listen to.  I wish they could call all the games on the internet.   It was a very slow start for the Marlins and Bridgewater held them in check for the 10 minutes or so  until they finally started to come alive a bit..The second half, Bridgewater simply wasn't in the game.  Leatherman seemed  upset after the game when interviewed but handled himself well.  So, one more game to play for the Marlins on Tuesday.  Good Luck! and congrats tonight on a great second half.  Have any teams gone undefeated in the ODAC for the season? What is the longest winning streak in the ODAC?..Does anyone know?

EMU trails by 11 at the half, 46-35. Royals playing without Sager tonight but not getting it done on the defensive end.

Andy Albright tied the ODAC careers steals recrod today by geting 2 steals. He also scored 23 points.

The Tigers played about as well as they could tonight on offense, but could not match the Jackets.  Unless the Tigers can figure out a way to bring more defensive pressure, the Jacket half court offense is too good.  Their post players grind you down and open up some shots on the perimeter.   A half court game will definitely favor R-MC, and I'm not sure the Tigers have the horses to bring the pressure like VWC does.  Macon and H-SC pretty much play the same game now, and Macon does it better.  Putting pressure on the Macon guards, particularly at the point, appears to be the way to beat the Jackets.   The streak is at 5, unless the Tigers can shake it up somehow it will continue to grow.

RMC led by 4 to 14 throughout the second half, with the lead increasing to 16 at the end as a result of foul shots.  The Tigers were down by only 7 points with 5 minutes to play and could have pulled it out.

It's going to be real hard to beat any team that's hitting over 67% of their shots, as the Yellow Jackets did today.  The Tigers will need to do a better job of stopping Hawley and Irwin, if they play RMC again in the tournament.

If the Yellow Jackets and Tigers win next Saturday evening, they'll have another go at it on Sunday at 4pm.

EMU loses a very important game tonight against W&L by the score of 91-68. The Royals need to regroup fast from this four game losing streak as they will take on the hottest team in the ODAC, VWC at the Beach.  BC and EMU continue to battle for the 7th seed in the Tourney as both teams were defeated and are 6-11 overall in the conference. BC plays against RMC in their finale so two very tough teams remain for the Eagles and Royals. EMU would need Roanoke to push ahead of E&H in case the tiebreaker scenerio comes into play for the 7th seed. I noticed that E&H is one game ahead of Roanoke in the standings. Who has the tiebreaker between those two teams? Good Luck EMU in the final week of regular season play.

With the win, W&L is likely to finish in the 9th spot and that gives Bridgewater a few extra points in any tie-breaker, as they have 2 wins over #9 W&L, whereas EMU only has 2 wins over #10 Lynchburg.

Even if Roanoke beats Emory & Henry, I think that EMU will now end up with the #8 seed and will have to settle for a tournament game against VWC at 1pm on Saturday, unless they can manage to beat VWC at the Beach, which would likely give them a first round game against RMC.

This is my bet:
1pm - #1 VWC vs. #8 EMU
3pm - #4 GC vs. #5 EHC
6pm - #2 RMC vs. #7 BC
8pm - #3 HSC vs. #6 RC

If Roanoke defeats Emory & Henry and W&L defeats Guilford on Tuesday, then I think the RC will be #5 and EHC will be #6.
