As we move toward the tournament this weekend, thanks to Loesel, Steely, and the kid for making this posting up season most enjoyable. I suppose we need to thank Mr. Coleman, too, for making it all possible. Thanks Pat!

Ha, I appreciate the kind words, but I feel my devils advocate approach on various topics this season really heated up some people.  3sdown, for example, was really only posting her picks each week ... then the past two days she has had 15 or so posts.

I'm sure 3sdown will appreciate the gender change!!!!  Or, is it just your way of calling his post girlish?

C'mon, Narch, let's have some fun!  I had to factor in the end of the season "writing on the wall" for some of my scores.

Quarterfinal picks:
VWC, 75 v. EMU, 60
Guilford, 90 v. E&H, 100
R-M, 80 v. BC, 76
H-S, 70 v. RC, 69

jacketlawyer...steely can confirm that i sent my picks to him this am, before yours were posted, so here goes...we'll need to go to a tie-break since i picked ehc in a mild upset of the quackers, as well

vwc 81 - emu 67
ehc 112 - gcq 101
rmc 72 - bc 63
hsc 71 - rc 69

...looking at our scores, it's AMAZING how close our point spreads are...interesting stuff

His/her profile says he/she's a female.  Sorry, that's what I was going off of.

Steelyglen .... Should we post the semifinal and final picks before the quarterfinals, as one poster has done, or after each day is completed, as others have done?

3sdown

Kid-

Profile was wrong.  Just a mistake on my part.  But it does make for a good laugh!

I usually post 15 to 20 times this time of year b/c the ODAC Tournament infuriates me each and every time I go to the "EVENT."  And I am sure it will do the same this year when I go.  I go b/c I love basketball and want to see friends as well as see my alma mater play.  However, the environment just pisses the crap out of me...As well as those who make decisions within the ODAC.  I could go on a further rampage about this issue...For example, the fact that all of the teams have to say in the same hotel (I believe this is still the same)!  That infuriates me to no end.  Before long we will have a Marxist ODAC where everyone has to eat at the same damn restaruant after the games while we hold hands...Then before long  the coaches will be required to play every player.  Maybe even we will institute the 10 minute extra period at the end of the game with a running clock to make sure the "sub-par" players get to play enough!

Anyway...Back to basketball.  Should be an interesting "EVENT" down in Salem.  Each of the match-ups are sound in the quarterfinals.  The Guildford and E&H game should be a great 4-5 matchup game.  Roanoke, if it can get its act together and the "right" individuals are played together, could knock HSC out in the quarters.  I think RMC and VWC will win, but it is tough to play a team back to back without something crazy happening.  Should make for an interesting Saturday...A more interesting one than I can remember in recent years.

I chose to do it all at once because I'm going to be there away from my PC.

I can't wait to see how crotchety you'll be after you turn 30, John.     ;D

Jimmy - I just gave you some kharma because you need it!

Jim-

You are right...That is a scary thought!!!   :o

Maybe I will relocate to small town in Montana...or Wyoming.  Well not Wyoming...I would have to be on the watch out for VP Cheney.  Well, yeah I should take it easy on the ODAC...They do a lot of good things!

I am calm now...And that is a scary thought! :P

On Letterman this week he said Bush had found the Weapons of Mass Destruction and it was Dick Cheney!

On a more serious note, here's wishing the best for Mr. Whittington and VP Cheney - that had to be traumatic event for all involved.

Me vs. 3sdown? It would be embarrassing to lose to a girl ;). At least my picks won't be clouded by my loyalty to W&L.

Quarterfinal picks:
VWC      78 vs. EMU 64
Guilford   84 vs. E&H 95
R-M        76 vs. BC 67
H-S        69 vs. RC 70

You're going to dunk, Jim, but - unfortunately for you - it's going to carom off the rim and into my hands, whereupon I'm going to throw a Snipesian shot across the length of the court for the Win.  :)
