You're going to dunk, Jim, but - unfortunately for you - it's going to carom off the rim and into my hands, whereupon I'm going to throw a Snipesian shot across the length of the court for the Win.  :)
You know, I'd pay to see that!  Not sure about you guys, but my "dunking" days are now restricted to Krispy Kremes and a cup of black coffee.  I currently have a mind-boggling and approximate 12" vertical leap.  lol  :)

hasanova ... that's the best kind of dunking I know of.

Gee, now that you've mentioned coffee, I think I'll make some, but first I've got to look around and find my cane ....

by the way, thank you LC and HSC fans (yes the words thank you and hsc fans were put together!) for giving andy albright a standing ovation for breaking the steals record! classy move by the hsc fans!

Thanks for the compliment, >.  Everyone in the gym knew that Andy Albright deserved a huge standing ovation for a standout career that had just culminated in a new ODAC record for career steals.  He was a class act on the court, with his aggressive hustle, and it was great to have the opportunity to see him play his last game.

Agree - enjoy the coffee.  In some parts of the world, jokes like these might actually be grounds for a caning.

I haven't noticed much love for the Quakers in their quarterfinal match with the Wasps despite their two victories over E&H this season.  Can't say as though I really blame everyone, however.  E&H seems to be the "Killer Bees" right now and GC seems to have lost some of its sting.  It's tough to beat a good team three times in one season, but I certainly hope we can.   Go Quakers!

It's that playing the same team three times curse that made me nervous about picking the Quakers over the Wasps, Hasanova.  Don't think for one moment I'm relaxed about my Jackets against Bridgewater, either.  Again, I remember what happened to us in 2004 when we got bounced out in the first round by LC.  Hopefully, Rhoades hasn't forgotten, but I don't think he has.

Yep, it scares me too, but what do you do except wait until 5 pm Saturday and see what happens!

By the way, I noticed your Dick Cheney/Ted Kennedy sticker.  In the late 60's and early 70's I regularly read "National Lampoon."  After the Chappaquiddick/Mary Jo Kopechne "event" in 1969, National Lampoon ran a fake car ad that basically said "Chappaquiddick would never have happened if Teddy was driving a VW Beetle" and showed a picture of a partially submerged bug, which referred to VW's famous ads at the time showing an airtight, watertight car.  A legal battle ensued and National Lampoon was forced to pull the magazine and reprint.  There are some original copies still floating around out there and if you're lucky enough to have one, they are quite valuable with collectors.  As far as I know, Oldsmobile, the maker of the Delta 88 sedan Teddy was really driving tried to pretend like it didn't happen.  Then, as everyone knows, it forced them to go completely out of business about 35 years later!  lol  I realize some of our younger readers have no idea what I'm talking about, so they can either use an internet search engine or do as my sons do, which is shrug their shoulders and say "Who cares!"  lol  :)

I didn't know about the National Lampoon ad, though I remember well the magazine.

Just a little gallows humor to get through the beautiful afternoon I am watching pass me by at the office. 8)

I know what you mean.  To a certain extent, gallows humor has helped keep me hanging around my whole life.

Strong should definitely make first team ODAC.  Only part of the case lies in the numbers, but compare Strong and, say, Adair.
And feel free to tell me how to line up this wacky font into columns.

                        Strong           Adair       Edge to
Scoring           (1)   19.2     (2)  18.0     Strong (+40 points, +1 game)
FG%               (5)  .564     (2)  .635      Adair
FT%              (12)  .714     (N)  .614     Strong
ReboudingTot  (4)    7.1      (7)   6.8      Strong (+12 rebounds, +1 games)
Off.Reb.        (14)  1.83      (3)   2.76    Adair
Def.Reb          (4)  5.22      (N)   4.00    Strong
Assists           (N)  1.04    (14)   2.24    Adair
Steals            (N)   .56     (11)   1.29    Adair
Blocks            (3)  1.56     (N)    .47     Strong

I think both these guys should go on first team.
Areas such as overall defense should be factored in, edge might go to Adair.  Areas such as double and triple teams drawn and "was fouled" might go to Strong.

A re-energized Guilford in the first round over E&H, I'd say.

hasanova

sludge, thanks for saying hello last Saturday.  It was nice to meet you.

Tigerfanalso

Your post about recruiting did not have much fact to it. While I see that RMC has brought in some great recruits, I would also like to remind you that Troy Kaase chose HSC over RMC in 2004. That was a great get by Bubba Smith, and one Tony Shaver would of loved to get. I would say that sophmores on the tiger team are one of the very best classes in this league. If you are basing your very unbiasest opinion on the games this year, I think you should be reminded that the tigers lost a 6'8 post who transfered and also another exceptionally strong post because of problems that are not known. These things happen to every coach, including Mike Rhodes and Roy Williams.

Tigerfan, this year has been a rather up down year for the tigers because of the lack of experience and extra players. Don't be so quick to give up on your tigers... who knows what or who they have in their pocket for next year? I am sure they don't intend to leave you disappointed.
As unbiasest as you are you sound like a commentator or something? WEIRD! Surely not?
