Yes, the Commonwealth has eyes and ears everywhere.

I thought it only extended to other commonwealths. Be careful in Virginia, Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.
... plus Kentucky and the Northern Marianas Islands, I think.  :)

PA and KY are Commonwealths too.  PR . . . . not quite yet.

Jeloesel--enjoyed the ice cold beer at A-SC.  The company was great.

No more E&H.  Next year, they could make a run, but we'll hafta wait until then. Won't say any more for fear of piercing certain E&H fans' parchment-thin skin. ;D

Quote from: Jeremybozz on February 18, 2006, 07:40:15 PMGC 101, E&H 97 FINAL
Hectic second game today in Salem.  GC fought back from 14 down (37-23) in the first half and 7 down (94-87) with a little over 2 minutes to go.  E&H hit 19 three-pointers today, including one to tie the game at 97 with 54.3 seconds to go.  I didn't realize the Wasps attempted 71 until I looked at the box score.  Watching the game, it seemed like their percentage was better than 26.8%.  Guilford only attempted one - by Snipes - a miss with about 15 seconds to go and the score knotted at 97.  It would have been the ultimate irony if it had gone in and given the Quakers a three point lead.  It didn't, however, and after the Quakers got the rebound and a new shot clock, Snipes found freshman George Neville open for a lay-up with 4.7 seconds to go.  A series of Time-outs and E&H threw a mid-court pass with Strong guarding the inbounds throw.  Another Time-out with 3.7 seconds to go.  Then, after the inbound, E&H threw it off one of their own players out of bounds along the sideline.  GC inbounded to Kimbrough who was fouled and made both FT's for the final 101-97 margin.  Whew!  I could just see E&H hitting a three at the buzzer to win 100-99.

Strong led GC with 22 points (20 in 2nd half) and 11 rebounds.  Snipes chipped in 11 points, Belkoski 8, Burge 7 and Kimbrough 6.  Off the bench, L.T. Lockett was HUGE with a career-high 21 as was Neville with 10 and Taylor with 9.  Finally, the Quakers were a respectable 29 of 39 from the FT line.  E&H was led by Landreth with 14, Thom with 12, Bland with 11 and Christian with 10.

Let's go fishin'!

Actually, jacketlawyer, Pat was correct.  Puerto Rico is a commonwealth.

Sorry I missed everyone.  I went by the ASC after the GC/E&H game, but I guess everyone had had already left since the game was over so late.   Maybe another time - hope so!  :)

Thanks.  I feel as though the Quakers dodged some bullets getting by E&H three times this year.  Same strategy (no threes) worked each time.  I do hope I get to meet you.  :)  Good luck to the Jackets tomorrow.

Thanks Hasanova.  Sorry to have missed you.  We'll get it done next year as far as the HH goes.

I plan to be there tomorrow, though, for both games.

RMC/HSC should boost the attendance statistics for tomorrow's games.  The RMC/BC game was rather well-attended.  RMC had a pretty good contingent of fans present and of course the Roanoke College Fans were there in full force for the HSC/RC Match-Up.  But, my assessment over the past week of the ODAC Tournament held true again in regards to game environment...Although Jim got a picture of me in attendance to use against me on this board!

However, the trip down from Blacksburg after the NC State/VT game to Salem was well worth it for a number of reasons.  First, to see RMC play.  Second, to eat sushi at Sake House in Salem, VA.  Third, to see some folks from around the ODAC.  Should be back tomorrow at least for the RMC/HSC game...

What is the modus operandi for tomorrow in regards to the pickem?
