At least an HSC representative won something this basketball season...eh CT? I think the refs gave him this title...but wait he beat out another HSC honk...so ..the refs screwed HSC by giving it to HSC...hmmmm...interesting...Jerry Stone is mixed up in this somehow..nohow!!! Jimmy will be sending you your Pies and RC's from my part of the STan ALbright stash ;D and no cheap DP imitations either Jimmy!!!

Yep, because I was the only one who said anything about the officiating and I also laid out the conspiracy theory that the officials were out to get HSC.  In fact, I think the ODAC's out to get HSC...wait...wait...no it's probably the NCAA.  Somehow I forgot to mention that in my previous posts.  I'm glad so many here take the time to actually read and respond to what others write.

do you guys use this to talk about games or the bets? i would have liked to seen a recap from someone on here, but i guess that would not be what this message board is about

There will be a recap, no question.  Just gotta give some of the people there enough time to get home.  I'm waiting for that as well.

You apparently don't think much of this message board, but it's smart enough to know when you try to change your e-mail to a fake address.

You did it last night and got your first username locked out, now you've done it again.

Hey Steely,
Don't be hatin' on us HSC guys.  We can't help it that there were only two of us in the tourney and we both made it to the final!  If this were the Olympics we would have the Gold and Silver for our nation!

What a GREAT GAME!!! A CLASSIC.  Both teams deserve congratulations for this one..It was a remarkably well played game for Randolph Macon and the Marlins.  The only thing that surprised me was that Coach Rhodes didn't call a time-out on the last possession.  Other than that I believe it was one of the best final championships games in a long time.   Congrats to Brandon Adair also for the MPV award, although it could have gone to a number of players from either side.  I almost hated to see it end but hopefully Randolph Macon will also get an NCAA bid and everyone can cheer both teams on.  Good luck to the Marlins in the NCAA"S.

Brian ....  Congratulations on winning the GOY Award (Guru of the Year)!

Two HSC guys in the GURU finals -- not bad.  I figure that, when Justin Wansley hit his 3 with 12 seconds left to send the game into OT, he also increased the tournament points total high enough to give you the GURU title .....  I always knew that guy would continue to be a problem.

Be sure you examine the contents of your victory package very, very carefully.  Jim Loesel is a known R.C. hoarder and cannot be trusted when it comes to dispersing the spoils of victory to HSC supporters.    ;)

I was robbed of my rookie year by the tourney!!!

a rookie year where you kicked some serious regular season ass...nice job!

Yes he sure did!

justafan02 finished the 2005-06 pick 'em season by picking 73.6% correctly (92-33), bettered only by latecomer "kid" (a.k.a. me) with 73.8% picked correctly (62-22).

Okay, I'm done self promoting!  ;D

Brian ... congrats on the pick 'em tourney title!

Great game.  Well Officiated with ACC Official Roger Ayers leading the way.  Congrats to the Marlins for their season and winning the ODAC Championship.  Yellow Jackets ran out of steam in overtime.  Didn't get the ball inside down low and take advantage of Adair having 4 fouls.  Rhoades doesn't believe in calling timeouts...Rather play through it so the defense doesn't have the ability to get set.  They ran the play they wanted and got the shot that was planned...A decent look, not the best, but decent.  Just came up a little short.  Well played game.  Well coached game.  Well officiated game.

Just one hell of a game.  Post more tomorrow morning

You have got to give credit to the ODAC for putting this game on the internet.

That was awesome.  Great game.  Glad I got to see it.

Thanks.

Even better to have seen it in person.  A basketball game played at a very high level throughout.  Congratulations to both teams, the coaches, referees, and ODAC officials for putting on a Grand Event at the Salem Civic Center.   ;)

Congratulations to the Marlins!  I didn't get a chance to watch tonight, but it sounds as though it was a great game.  As Ernie Banks used to say, "Let's play two!"  Here's hoping the ODAC gets a bid for RMC as well as VWC.

There isn't much analysis to be done on this game.  Both teams played great.  Wansley and Adair are all that they are made out to be.  Hawley played big for the Yellow Jackets.  The guard play for both teams were solid.  All individuals involved made spectacular plays.  VWC was just able to get the upper hand the last 2 1/2 minutes of overtime.  Jackets looked a little winded down the stretch probably due to the third game in three days as well as the big overtime game yesterday against HSC that was an emotional game as well.

Rhoades went with Dixon down the stretch over Hawley...For defensive purposes I believe.  Hawley also looked a littled winded.  RMC just looked a little mentally drained in the last 2 minutes of the overtime.  VWC did a great job in making the big shots and making plays to win the game.

I hope they do well in the tournament, but I hope that Macon gets into the tournament (which I think they will barring a bunch of upsets).  And maybe Macon and VWC will end up in the same bracket and Macon can get a 4th attempt at VWC.
