do you guys use this to talk about games or the bets? i would have liked to seen a recap from someone on here, but i guess that would not be what this message board is about

You apparently don't think much of this message board, but it's smart enough to know when you try to change your e-mail to a fake address.

You did it last night and got your first username locked out, now you've done it again.

But ... but ... he was contributing so much to the board! :'(

If there are legitimate Hampden-Sydney fans who want to post, you might want to prevail on Chris Thompson and his partner in crime to stop registering with fake e-mail addresses. Since it locks down the IP address, at this rate the whole campus will be blocked from posting in short order.

VWC was the class of the league...Hopefully they can get some home games, make a deep run, and make the ODAC proud in the NCAAs. As for Macon, 22-6 just isn't at-large material, even the most myopic Macon fan will admit that.

VWC is easily the class of the league.  They can play with anyone; hopefully they'll show that at the national level.  They have the talent, coaching, and leadership to go deep in the tournament.

(Another note: They should be even better next year.)

I don't think Macon will make the tournament, even though they are probably competitive enough to be there.  There are teams like that every year.  Personally, I'd love to see R-MC in the tourney.  The more ODAC teams the better..

Yes >, as 3sdown said, the officiating of tonight's game was led by Roger Ayers, an ACC official.

I had to work hard to get back on here. I really don't understand what terms of service rule that I broke. I reread them again and didn't see any glaring violations. Changing my email to a fake one was a way of protecting anonimity, something this board clearly lacks. The terms of service say you can only post somebody's name and/or information in legal matters or formal complaints. I don't think any formal complaints had been made yesterday when the moderator decided to post people's names on the internet. I guess you guys don't worry about identity theft but it is a real problem. In addition, I am uncomfortable with having an email that is not hidden. I have enough spam, etc as it is. Anybody with an email can get on this forum and see email addresses. Something needs to be done. I wanted to talk basketball (yes, officiating IS PART OF THE GAME) and apparently nobody else can read a post or respond in a constructive manner. Otherwise, I have enjoyed this site for many years and think it serves the fans well. Anyway, this post will probably be deleted for another untold terms of service violation (changing to a fake email address is not listed). The other email address that was blocked was an actual email address, but I guess that didn't get in the way of the crusade. So, continue to do whatever it is you do. You can find the Mr. Coleman at

406 N Argonne Ave
Sterling, VA 20164.

Again, my address is not secret. It's on the Web site for a reason, so people can contact the site.

As to why I locked you down, you are providing fraudulent e-mail addresses in registration. It's not rocket science that that isn't acceptable.

The traditional team victory pose.  Also,  the equally traditional "to the victors belong the spoils."

If CNU gets on, they are one team in the VWC Sub-regional (assuming thats the way they go). I can see RMC getting in and pairing them with CNU ( if they won the tourny). But that's just my opinion, the Craptains (yes I realize how its spelled!) need to win two starting Friday for that to even be remotely possible.

Pat Coleman

At 19-6 in-region, with a 10.000 QOWI, Macon will still be a good Pool C candidate.

As well as Macon played, they would be great ODAC reps to join the Marlins in the NCAA tourney.   Here is the final shot that didn't fall for them.

(3sdown, note the superior panorama of the Salem Civic Center.)   :)

Interesting article in today's DNR about whether EMU's Sager will return next year.

Most of the time Adair and Wansley did not guard each other, but there were times they went head-to-head.  Whether or not they were matched up, the battle for position was intense at all times.  Even though Adair got 31 and Wansley got 24, the defense was very good, and the point total each got is a reflection of outstanding offensive play rather than weak defense.  Both coaches chose to go with straight up man-to-man defense.  Not much doubling down, no zones or junk defenses.

Just curious...Why don't you think they will make the tournament?  Pat is saying they are in pretty good shape.

What other teams could sneak in besides Macon?  Again,  they def deserve to be there.  I know their regional record is 19-6, but their losses come to VWC (3 times), Lincoln and the other two without Wansley.  They are a tournament team and one who will go deep if they play like they did last night.

I'm just curious what the attendance was last night and what it might be next year if there is a combined men's and women's championship double-header on Sunday afternoon.

First Round:
Emu vs. VWC - 250
guilford vs. E&H- 850
rmc vs. bc - 698
hsc vs. roanoke - 2124

second round:
vwc vs. guilford - 672
rmc vs. hsc - 1015

title game:
vwc vs. rmc - 1379

so the average attendance was 998.28 per game
