SUNY-Farmingdale flying into Norfolk tomorrow for a second round NCAA Game at the "TANK."

Less than 24 hours until the Wooster - Randolph Macon tip so here are a few comparative team stats to ponder:  :)

Offensive Field Goal %
Woo:  52.9%
RMC:  50.0%

Defensive Field Goal %
Woo:  44.1%
RMC:  38.6%

Rebounding Margin vs. Opponents
Woo:  +7.3 per game
RMC:  +3.8 per game

Offensive 3 Point Shooting %
Woo:  44.1%
RMC:  41.5%

Defensive 3 Point %
Woo:  33.0%
RMC:  30.7%

Assists to Turnover Ratio
Woo:  1.68
RMC:  0.88

RMC's top 2 scorers are their big men, Justin Wansley 6'6" at 15.7 ppg and Phil Hawley 6'8" at 11.5 ppg.

Woo's top 2 scorers are guard James Cooper 6'0" at 19.4 ppg and wing Tom Port 6'5" at 15.4 ppg

Wooster seems like the much better offensive team and Randolph Macon seems like the much better defensive team so which style will prevail in tomorrow's game?

Randolph Macon has the better front line while Wooster has the better guards and ballhandlers so which will play a bigger factor in this game?

Should be a great game tomorrow!

FYI - Farmingdale is bussing, not flying.

I called the Ursinus/Farmingdale game and I will be glued to the scoreboard to see how this game turns out.  The Rams played an incredibly strong game and did not seem weary afterwards.  While they can shoot lights out from beyond the arc, they were just average tonight.

This will most likely not be a pushover for VaWes.

Ok lets get picky about the bussing/flying thing. Same difference, they are going to VA Beach/Norfolk tomorrow to get wacked by the Marlins on Saturday.

:o A TEAM with a 1.68 A-to-T ratio is amazing!

Pat Cummings - tell us more about Farmingdale...about their shooters, about their guards, what they run, etc.

Should be indeed.  And good luck to you guys, by the way.

According to the ODAC tournament program book, R-M has led the ODAC in total team defense nearly every year since they dropped from a DII team to DIII.

And to you as well.  May it be a great game, and may the better team win.

RMC was ahead at the half, 39-33, but Wooster scored the first 13 points of the second half and didn't ever trail after that.  RMC cut it to 1 point a couple of times, but couldn't get closer.  Wooster won the game, 84-70.

Last game and a great career for Wansley and Gill!  Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets on another fine season.

Congratulations to RMC and Coach Rhoades for another in a long line of great seasons.  It's a shame that such a good team would get such a tough first-round draw (and I'd say the same for Wooster had they lost.)

Good luck to the Marlins as they carry the ODAC banner into battle tomorrow.  And I'll see some of you in Salem in a couple of weeks!  :)

Heck, even Quakers are rooting for RMC and the Fish these day.  Who woulda thought it!  ;)

Great season RMC, I am pleased with all our ODAC schools this season, we really have the toughest conference in the country in my opinion!!!! Let's Go Marlins.. I am now a Marlin's fan...keep it in the ODAC...

Congrats to RMC on a fine season at 22-7.  They gave Wooster a very good game tonight and had Scots fans quite concerned in the first half.

Special note of congratulations to seniors Justin Wansley and Patrick Gill on great careers at RMC.  Good luck to Virginia Wesleyan as the remaining ODAC team in the tournament!

Yes, we are!  Tough loss for the Jackets, but here's hoping the Marlins can win one for the ODAC tonight!
