I don't understand the karma thing either but I just boosted you one.

Thanks - you actually boosted me 2. Is this kind of like air miles that you can't ever use for anything?
HE can't boost you 2 (someone else must have also boosted you), but, yeah, you can't ever use them for anything!
to continue what is probably the most inane thread I've ever harped in on (it just shows my desperation level to get hoop season statrted): How can you boost someone?
baselinejam - I'm not sure, but I think you have to have 200 posts before you can applaud & smite.  In fact, these options (which will be on the left hand side of your screen) may not even be visible to you until you reach Post #200.  This was designed this way to prevent someone from signing on d3sports simply to be a "drive by smiter"  :)

Similar to "the drive by media"?

I was thinking "drive by shooter," but "drive by media" is another good analogy.  :)

"smiter" isn't that some kind of saw? ;D

or  "smiter" ...I don't even know her!

Lets get two things straight.

1.  Jason Sager is back in school.

2.  Please don't put Lynchburg in front of EMU until they actually finish that way in real life.  EMU is a program on the up and up and LC just talks that way before Oct. 15.

jdubyadubya

It's still way too early to make any logical predictions other than the top five, emufan. I was just trying to get the juices flowing. I'm interested to see how much Parkes has improved over the summer. He's a Winchester boy just like #44. Sager should dominate this year too.

emufan

Scottie and others who care,

I only went back to the 2003-2004 season,  EMU is 5-1 against LC and LC's last win against the Royals are 2/2/04. Not much to argue with!

LC can't be placed ahead of EMU in any pre season rankings because they haven't proved themselves.

Don't know much about EMU's coming season. I would be interested to know the cause behind anyone believing Lynchburg will elevate themselves from the ODAC cellar.

If Sager is coming back, that is a real plus for EMU and I'll "boost them up" a bit:

1. VWC - They have a 28-game win streak, which broke  the old ODAC record set in 2000 by the Tigers .........
2. HSC - I might be underestimating them.  They're going to be real good, with the transfers and freshmen they're adding to a solid group of juniors and seniors.
3. RMC - Or 4th or 5th?
4. Guilford - Or 3rd?
5. Roanoke - Lose Jared Butler, but they have the potential to finish higher.
6. EMU - Jason Sager is coming back and they shouldn't finish lower than 6th or 7th.
7. W&L - They had no seniors on last year's roster.
8. E&H - Teams have a hard time beating them in Emory and they could be higher.
9. BC - Could be higher, for sure, but this season might look like the year before the former POY arrived.
10. Lynchburg - They won't finish any lower than 10th.

emufan

I can't agree more with all of Algernon's assessment.  Right on!  ;D

Too funny! :D Seriously Algernon, that was classic!  :D :D :D

Anyone would be crazy not to vote for VWC as NATIONAL preseason number one... I know what I saw... I think everyone should just predict 2-10. :P

Hi from the distant land of California, incidentally. :)
Wait, dunks are only worth two points?!?!!!? Why does anyone do them? - diehardfan
What are Parkers now supposed to chant after every NP vs WC game, "Let's go enjoy tobacco products off-campus? - Gregory Sager
We all read it, but we don't take anything you say seriously - Luke Kasten

Wait - news flash just in!  One Junior, three Sophomores and a First Year student at Sweet Briar have decided to have sex change operations after seeing Felicity Huffman in Transamerica.  The AD at SBC is petitioning the ODAC league office to field a men's team this winter, so what do we do now?  Pick 2-11?  lol  Peace

Lynchburg is safe. Rule 28. 152.36 of the NCAA Policy Handbook states that Sweet Briar will have to wait until 2008 before they can field a team.

Whew, saved by the "belle."   I was going to make a joke about the "anti-belle-'em" south, but I decided against it.  Wait, I think I just did anyway!

Algernon...you take BC 9th ...I'll take higher than 7th for the infamous Moonpie and RC? You want some?
