Just wondering if anyone saw the Bridgewater vs. Fork Union scrimmage yesterday. I was curious as to how the Eagles look for this year.

In case anyone's interested, Bridgewater's star center from last year, Clay Michael, is now playing professionally over in Germany. Here is the link to the article from Bridgewater's website.....

Just got back from watcing Emory & Henry's first scrimmage of the year against dII Bluefield State.  Wasps won every half by double digits and really looked good for the first game.

The Fish are warming up against Hampton University and Mount Olive College and should be ready to go on Tuesday, November 21 against CNU at home. Should be another great season for Coach Macedo and the Marlins.

no lentz, no gordon and no whiting because they parted ways for different reasons... program i guess was heading one way and they opted another. as for whiting he transferred to VCU, he may be back in the future....as for parkes, im sure emu hopes all players have a break out year, but i dont think they are banking their season on parkes, it will be a team effort, and i'm sure he will probably avg. 12-18 a game with 3-9 rebs....thats my pick......emu is set to scrimmage mary washington thurs...at mw

as for the xavier and john overstreet, they played highschool ball together, one is a pg, and the other a swing player very talented, big and strong.. both bench press over 250 and are athletic...should be interesting to see how they do...

kirby dean and staff have no budget and still find ways to get players out of state that can play....i dont know,, he must be just beating the path of recruiting...

I would just like to say that everyone sounds excited this year, more excited than in previous years and I believe it is because the ODAC has won a national championship.  Every team in the Odac will play better this year, will be more determined and more confident than in years' past.   The ODAC has achieved respect and can no longer be considered an average conference that can't quite achieve "power" conference status.  The players know that the ODAC can hold their own with any team in D3 and I expect all teams to play good solid basketball.   Amazing what a national championship can do.  I predict a banner year for the ODAC.

The Generals scrimmage Southern Virginia tomorrow.

Not sure of any scrimmage games for the Quakers, but they travel to DI Elon for an exhibition game Saturday night.  Our contest against the Phoenix last year (of course, the DIII school always has to go on the road!) was an official game.  I've been around a long time, so I still want to call Elon the Fightin' Christians.  And no, I don't think it's an oxymoron.  Have you ever seen televised coverage of the Southern Baptist convention?  :)

Can you guys post some scrimmage reports?

My friend TitanQ put forth his top 25 on the CCIW page.  It featured the Marlins at 1, H-SC at 18 and the Jackets at 25.   My question to him if he should happen to bring his attention to this page: why would you put the Tigers at 18?  I certainly hope they will justify the pick, but they haven't been that strong in the past two seasons.  They have more talent and athletes on the roster this season, but they haven't really earned that kind of respect, yet.

D3hoops.com just released their preseason Top 25.

Congrats to VWC (No. 1), R-MC (No. 15) and H-SC (No. 21).
