It may be a little early to call ODAC FOY.  Some other teams have a few good newcomers as well.  All kidding aside, congratulations to VWC.  It should be a good year in the ODAC and you're right, everyone will be gunning for the Marlins.    Peace

The Generals beat Dickinson, 82-71, in Carlyle, PA. We've had some lean years lately over here in Lexington. We have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, a 2-1 beginning to the season.

On the FOY pick.  Fields will be fine for VWC and pick up as another tough guard.  He will be a better scorer than guards other than Balenga, but wont' win FOY this year.  Not that he won't be a top freshman, but it is hard to shine on a team that returns its top three scorers and two preseason All-Americans.  Plus he does not play the defense that Sumpter and Tucker provide so I don't see him playing more than 10-15 minutes most nights.  He will however, be a stud in the future for VWC.  Good start for him last night.  Anyway, here are my pick'ems:

It's a short week.  On Sunday I'll post the games for Week Three, including the games on Tuesday and Wednesday that have been noted.  For the first week I included a couple of Tuesday games, so every ODAC team got a pick, but I usually cut off the games on Monday (because the conference coaches sometimes move Sunday ODAC games to Monday).
