Hi there,  Can anyone who was at the EMU/BC game comment on the newspaper article from the Daily News Record?  It mentions an official bumping an EMU player, as well as some potentially offensive things said to the player by the official.  Does anyone know more about that?

I know there would be repercussions if the player bumped the official.  What happens in the reverse?  To his credit, Coach Dean refused to get dragged into the situation in print, but I really have to wonder what was said and what will happen.

Sounds like Methodist beat Randolph-Macon in a close game.  I think towards the end, RMC had trouble controlling the ball.  Good luck to RMC in their rebuilding process this year (except when they play a certain OCAC team).

According to the local paper here, Methodist outscored R-M 18-2 in the final 6:36 of the game.  While I haven't had the time yet to read the stats, I think this is a problem for R-M. ???

Flowers for Algernon! You da man.

Thanks for the flowers, JWW.  It's neck-and-neck for the lead ....

Regarding Macon's loss to Methodist, I've looked at the play-by-play at the RMC website and the Yellow Jackets lost the last 6+ minutes by a score of 18-2, just as the newspaper said.  Jeremy Dixon had 4 turnovers during that time; for the game, he really hit his shots (10 for 11) but had a total of 8 turnovers.

The game was tied with 2:18 left to go.

Thanks for the validation, Algernon.  I've come to rely on your research.  Hope you don't mind.

I'd like to hear from someone who attended the game to see what their impression was of it.  It's still early in the season, but the thoughts of a possible "rebuilding" year for R-M have begun to percolate in my mind. . . . :-\

no chance you could post a link to the box-score, is there?  i've scoured the rmc site for one (as well as the mu site) with no luck

Narch, they may wait at R-M to create a link until after the tournament is concluded.  Algernon may've gotten his from the RT-D web site.
