Hasanova:

Today, d3hoops .................................... Tomorrow American Idol  ;D .
Well, I don't know.  It's one think to write the lyrics.  It's a whole 'nother thing to actually sing them ... and I can't!  lol

By the way, Idol contestant Jordin Sparks is the daughter of a friend of mine in AZ.  Also, her Dad was once a pretty good player for the NFL's NY Giants.  Holy Cow! (or is that Holy Hog?) We're back to six degrees of Kevin Bacon!  :)

Nope, no more Kevin Bacon!!  It's Open Mic night tonight at Club D3. ODAC room.  Featuring Hasanova, NJlincolnlion, and Allsky, and all the other stylin' cats who post. 8)

If you use game results, there's not enough data, and it's not reliable enough on which to base a conclusion about the relative strength of conferences.  If you use Massey, you're limited in your conclusions by the lack of knowledge of what goes into his calculations (which I believe are proprietary, aren't they?)  This sort of debate will never rise above the level of conjecture.

True, but without conjecture these boards would be 85% shorter, and no fun at all!

It's been 3 days since the discussion about relative strength of conferences, but I want to thank David Collinge, Mr. Ypsi, Titan Q, narch, and others for an interesting discussion.  I agree that "this sort of debate will never rise above the level of conjecture" .... and also that "without conjecture these boards would be 85% shorter, and no fun at all!"

Go Marlins!  Go Quakers!

GOOD LUCK  to the MARLINS and the QUAKERS tonight.  I know both teams will give us their best games.  We are so proud of the ODAC and the fine men who play in this conference. Believe in yourself and your team and show everyone just where basketball is the best!

Ok Hasa....attempt number two just for you.  ;D

There once was a man named Strong
His team dreamed of Salem so long
The Eagles did prance
The Tigers did dance
Near cost them to show they belong

This team they call the Quakers
All credit do give to the Maker
Were given that chance
To show they could dance
Have proven they're surely no faker

Dude, much better meter!  I like the verse and the vibe!  Go Quakers!

Wow, these were pretty good.  The ODAC board's got a lot o' talent.  Guess the next step is Stompin' the Yard. ;)

Less I regress:

Go Quakers!

Go Marlins!

Hey jacket....If it involves moving my feet to a rhythmic beat, I'm in deep #$@&!!   I was Brad Paisley's inspiration for his song about helping white people dance.  ;D

I suffer from the same ailment.  I recommend generous portions of beer for this.  Works for me (in my mind anyway). :P ;D

Beer is a known and medically (as well as legally) recognized antidote for all sober judgment, human beauty perception and motor skill assessment.  :)

Saw all four teams yesterday at the Batten Center.  As reported, the MC team is HUGE, big and strong.  Looks like it's going to be physical tonight.  Hopefully Balenga can shake off the poor shooting, Sumpter, Dixon, Tucker can play hands on defense and Adair......well.....will be Adair.

Saw the Quakers come out after their workout and wished a few of them good luck and told them to make the ODAC proud.....it was very classy of them to respond with a "thank you" and a "yes sir".  Raised that way myself, I would have done the same, but being young and looking younger than I am the "sir" spoke even louder volume.   Classy kids....

Go ODAC!

Very sad.  Lincoln just scored with 2.8 seconds left, putting them up by 3 points.
