fellow guru Brian Hamilton joins the fray starting tonight so another veteran "picker" is now in the loop... not everyone has Wesleyan tonight and not everyone has Macon tonight either, so a little movement could be seen tonight.

steelyglen ... Was there a point to your post other than to stir something up somehow?

I doubt that my lead will hold up very long.  I'll be satisfied just to beat Scottie on a regular basis.

Roanoke's Josh LaPorte was named the ODAC player of the week.  Keep up the good work, Josh.

Tony Shaver brings his Colonials to Farmville tonight.  William and Mary takes on the Longwood Lancers at 7pm.  I'm looking forward to seeing 3 former HSC coaches at the game (Shaver, Vick, and Warner) and I'm sure there will be other Tiger fans present.

Colonials?
Well, Williamsburg is a colonial town, so maybe The Tribe will understand.  :)

Make sure you study hard Jim...there's a managers job on the line here! ;D

I see that VWC lost again tonight.  What kind of team is Salisbury?  I figured with what the Marlins had coming back that they wouldnt struggle at all in the pre-ODAC season.  Whats the problem?

algernon

The Colonials were left behind in Williamsburg ;) and Shaver's Tribe had little problem with the Longwood Lancers this evening, winning by about 15 points.  It was strange to see the Tiger coaching staff with players wearing green and gold instead of garnet and grey.  The Tribe had a lot of support in the stands from Tiger players and fans.

Lincoln beats Randolph-Macon 85-62.  Kyle Myrick drops 33 points for the host Lions.  He is now averaging 30.2 points per game in 6 contests this season.

R-MC's Phil Hawley had 21 points and 7 rebounds, Justin Wansley 9 points and 11 rebounds.

R-MC was up 27-17 in the first half.  Lincoln closed the opening period with a 20-6 run and led 37-33 at the break.  The second half was all Lincoln, as the Lions outscored the Yellow Jackets 48-29.

Lincoln and R-MC will hook up again Sunday, December 18th in the opening round of the first annual Hal Nunnally December Classic at R-MC.

R-MC at Lynchburg Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  First ODAC game for the Yellow Jackets.

Salisbury improved to 3-2 with the win.  They had lost to a couple of teams with just OK records prior to beating the Marlins.  A huge upset.

It's probably been 10 years since the Yellow Jackets lost by 23 points and I'm sure they'll be ready to turn things around when Lincoln comes to Ashland.

I know Guilford lost to Lincoln 96-87 in a season-opening tournament last season.  Some of the guys said the Lions were a pretty good team, but felt they could beat them if they played again.

I'm curious to see whether Guilford and E&H have a real high-scoring game Wednesday night in Emory or if the Quakers can (or want to) try to control the tempo a bit.  I know the Quakers want to run this year, but I'm not yet sure if they want to run at a 110+ point pace for each team.  lol  What do you guys think will happen?

How is Longwood doing so far this year?  Without looking up their record, am I correct in saying the Lancers only won one game last season in their first year of Division I play?
