Here's the 2007-08 ODAC preseason poll:

Three teams got first place votes - Guilford, VWC and HSC.

I know thousands of people are dying to see LC's roster, so here it is http://www.lynchburg.edu/x4465.xml

Here's a neat little tidbit about LC's roster: It boasts a transfer from each division of the NCAA - Mason Wooldridge from Division I Marshall University (for those of you who go to look him up - and I know at least one of you will - he did not go out for the team last year, but he was a scholarship freshman on the conference usa team and did actually play some 2 years ago), Eric Burnett from Division II Concord University, and KC Mendez from Division III Elmira College.

Mr. Ypsi

For those who haven't yet noticed, the d3hoops preseason poll is now up:

4. Guilford
6. Va. Wes.

no other ODAC teams received votes

i'm surprised VWC is ranked that high with the loss of adair. the voters must know something about the freshmen that i don't know then...

That's interesting that Guilford is chosen ahead of VWC in the polls. Word has it that the VWC will be as good if not better this year than in past years. Macedo has done it again with a "cream of the crop" recruitng class. Time will tell ;D

well guilford does have a player that could go out and score 40 points a night if he wanted to and his backup and supporting cast isnt too shabby either.

With all due respect - VW hasn't replaced Mr. Adair & he was the man. They have talent; but better? I'm not a buyer, The Quakers deserve the pre-season accolades.

in addition to that, the "cream of the crop" recruiting class hasn't proven a single thing to the voters yet, all they have done is practiced and played a scrimmage. what the word on the street is doesnt generally mean much until someone backs it up.

I think Sottie Too Hottie should change his name to "Scottie Too Happy." I stand by what I said, VWC is going to be great this year!

Mr. Warren,

Even the ODAC coaches placed GC in front of VWC.  I think it is a show of respect for what Adair brought to VWC and a few questions about who will step up.  Preseason polls are fun but often have many problems.  We'll figure out everything during the regular season.

While on the topic though, I was surprised that Sydney did not get some votes.  I did not expect them to be in the top 25, but I thought making the tourney last year and having an injured player who led the team in scoring returning might make them an intriguing vote.

yes, but they lose their starting point guard and their starting shooting guard, who was mvp of the odac tournament by the way. plus a lot of the voters might not even remember who kaase was. last time he played was early in the year before HSC was making any noise on the national scene and the year before that HSC had a down year in HSC standards.
