Again, thanks for the assist, Hasa!!  You are a wealth of knowledge. 8)
Not to mention a great article on a school and its players that I don't know enough about! ;)

Maconfan and Jacketlawyer, you're welcome, but the internet is the wealth of knowledge - maybe I just know where to look.  Good luck to RMC in the game!

The Generals play Drew University in Madison, NJ Friday night. The winner gets the winner of the Williams v. Ursinus game on Saturday.

On that, I say, Go Generals.
Against John Carroll, Go Jackets, and good luck.
And against Villa Julie, I say Go Quakers!

Let's start out with the ODAC clobbering the infidels.

After seeing the Guilford intrasquad game last Saturday night, my other pick for most improved sophomore in the ODAC is Tyler Sanborn.  So, Clay Henson will have competition for that award.

In the intrasquad game, it was apparent that Guilford's got a lot of shooters this year.  The freshmen are players.  It may be possible to replace Snipes and Burge.  Certainly, we've got a lot of depth; it looks like Guilford could reasonably play 13 guys without a problem.

Part of the chemistry puzzle is in the post.  How do you get both Sanborn and Strong the minutes that they can handle?  The solution will be a big factor in how the season goes.

Hey guys,

Check out the Around the Nation piece on teh D3 Hoops front page.  It has a nice feature on Ben Strong and mentions HSC as a sleeper pick.  Just wanted to pass along to those interested in looking.

All - This season just might be the toughest one in the ODAC for years. You've got the strength of Guilford in Ben Strong et.al., the defense of VWC, the persistence of HSC, and the emergence of a couple of other teams. This is going to be a heckuva shootout :o

PS. What's with the Barberton HS advertisement?

jdubyadubya .... While I agree this might be the toughest one in the ODAC for years, I don't know whether it will be quite as tough as last year:  The ODAC has lost Brandon Adair and Virginia Wesleyan will be very good, but certainly not nearly as good as the team that went 1 for 2 in the NCAA Championship Game.  Lots of ODAC players will be better this year, but the ODAC has lost a huge player in Brandon Adair ..... and also Jordan Snipes, Jason Sager, Mike Edwards, and a host of other very good players.

Algernon - I absolutely agree with you and I would not be surprised to see Guilford and HSC up there at the top with VWC and possibly 2 or 3 other teams locked up in 3 through 6. Of course, the surprise would be VWC being as good as it's been in the last several years but the experts tend to agree that this won't happen.  ;D

OK Pat - I get it. The Barberton HS deal is a joke in response to the Altoona CYO girls league on another site. I'm a little slow to catch on.  :-\

sludge, I'll be in Boone for the Appalachian State/UT-Chattanooga football game late Saturday afternoon, so I'll miss Guilford's home opener with Villa Julie.  I expect you to root twice as hard and give me a good post-game report!  :)  Go Quakers!

Thanks for the heads up, Brian.  It was a nicely done piece I really enjoyed reading.  It made me wish the Quakers were playing tonight!

I assume you actually got that the reverse is true.  For anyone that hasn't seen it, there is a hilarious mocking of the Barberton spam over on the Multiregion board.

Speaking of Stone Cold Steve Austin reminds me of the theory that professional wrestling (wrasslin' for most of us) is neither.  That is all.  Please resume the festivities with a hearty "hell, yeah" of your own.  :)  PS  I'm sure SCSA would help us clobber an infidel or two!
