I know why....Adair is an incredibly gifted athlete who really never looks like he's going a 100%(but he is!).

I've been notified by a person somewhat close to the Marlins program that my last post could have come across as sounding that I have something personal against Brandon Adair and that is the reason for coming down hard on him.  To clear the air, it's all basketball, nothing personmal because I pretty much know nothing about Adair, just some of the basketball reasons are stupid, which is why I didn't state them. In fact, I have nothing personal against any of the players in the ODAC, so if I come down hard on anyone remember that it's purely basketball.

Congrats to Josh Connor! I was just informed that he recently acheived his goal of becoming a firefighter!

Pat Coleman - please explain the "karma" thing, plus and minus, applaud, smite, etc. I noticed that some posters get good marks while others get less than good marks. Thanks. And, I promise to return right back to basketball topics.

Karma is like the old post rating, except it's a poster rating, which follows you from post to post.

To eliminate the possibility of a one-star bandit coming in and anonymously knocking down every post, we've limited who can affect someone's karma. You have to be a registered poster and you have to have reached a certain seniority level before you get the privilege.

Thanks Pat. For most, it's kind of a feel good thing. It works best when you are constructive rather than destructive. I much prefer the former because this board should be a positive experience. Knowledge attainment respects maturity automatically. Get it.

I agree with you, except I don't recall when I (or Scottie, for that matter) have ever been destructive.

In my case, snarky (as often as possible - see opening line, for example!), but never destructive! 

I treasure (ALMOST) everyone on the board as a source of knowledge AND as a potential foil for a one-liner.  What's the point of life if not for

a) learning, and

b) good(?) gags?!

I TRY to make good gags, and I KNOW I learn a lot.

To answer your question (i'm not gonna pick just one person either), does the name Ton Ton Balenga ring a bell? [I love these new faces!] But my top 5 is as follows [, must have made at least 25 3s in confernece games and in no particular order]:
Balenga, Fitch, Prehmus, Patrick Gill, and Lance Reasbeck (didn't shoot a particularly high %, but he averaged 3.5 made threes in coference games). I expect Matt Sweeney to be on this list by the end of the year. He wasn't looked at a whoe lot for scoring, but with the losses of Pehanick, Aaron "CMac" Smith, and Todd Crown, he should see a bigger role in the offense in my opinion. Same goes for Manos if he can have a higher % and not jack up as many threes to begin with.

Lol... I was -1 a few hours ago... feeling better now.

yeah... who are all these haters? I keep voting for the people I think are cool to make up for all the haters.... you can actually vote for someone every hour, so I've voted for you twice now, I think. 

cab's problem is that every time I try to vote for him I have to read his signature that has him cursing out the thunder... it's going to be hard for him to earn karma points from me no matter how much I like him!
