This is what happens to people who don't respect the 3 point record: http://youtube.com/watch?v=v325wdgoFH4&feature=related

Your honor... that was outstanding!

As a child of the 70's, I say BJ could whip Segal, Arnold, & Rambo all at the same time with one foot tied behind his back.......blindfolded......with a broken arm.......while tossing one up from behind the arc :D  :D

Then you should change your handle to "1 Tin Soldier" ;D

Nice work.
If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

GC 12, VWC 18 and RMC knocking on the door at 26.  Congratulations to all.  It should be a great ODAC tournament - I certainly don't know who's going to win!

Rankings: I think the Marlin ladies should be ranked too. They are the #1 seed in the ODAC tournament.

Billy Jack video: Well done Tigerfan. I would expect nothing less from you. I think he learned some of those moves from TonTon.  ;D

Nice trick since that Billy Jack video was probably made about 15 years before TonTon was born!  lol

I remember a course in college - we were required to see Billy Jack and Jack Nicholson's Five Easy Pieces.  In fact, I'd like to see the latter again - let's see if I can find it at the video store.  The scene with Jack ordering a sandwich in the diner is a classic!  Now, if I could just order an ODAC tournament championship!

Quote from: jdubyadubya on February 26, 2008, 01:44:41 PMI do believe it's Guilford's year!
On paper, the odds would be in Guilford's favor, but tournament play on a "neutral" site can be tricky.  Guilford's lost to two ODAC teams (RC and RMC), but avenged both losses in decisive fashion.  EMU played us tough in Greensboro.  BC, HSC and W&L all played us tough both times.  VWC is always a scary opponent!  The Quakers are playing well, but I'm not assuming anything this year!

Great!  Two ODAC players in the Jostens finalists:

Jake Baldwin, Piedmont; Jimmy Bartolotta, MIT; Greg Bienemann, Washington and Lee; Andrew Olson, Amherst; Kent Raymond, Wheaton; Troy Ruths, Washington U.; Ben Strong, Guilford; Anthony Williams, Plattsburgh State; Tyler Winford, Mississippi College; Trevor Wittwer, Gustavus Adolphus.

C'mon Nova....you gotta believe!
I do sincerely believe the Quakers are the best team in the ODAC this season, but a lifetime of inopportune upsets and disappointments causes me to tone down the rhetoric.  lol  If we're still standing after the final horn, then I'll celebrate!

Cool!

Ok, JWW, I'm on board.  It's Guilford's year.

Random thoughts ....

The Tigers will finish with a winning record, whether their final record this year is 14-12 or 23-11.  The Tigers' last losing season was in 1992-93, when they went 12-13, the year just after their tremendous 1991-92 season (24-6!) with Russ Turner.

They pulled it together again the following year, in 1993-94, when Nate Schwab, Dee Vick, Todd Kerr, Jason Leonard, Tee Jennings, and Ryan Odom gained the #2 seed in the ODAC tournament, lost to the #7 Guilford Quakers in the quarterfinals (last quarterfinal loss for the Tigers), but then still got an NCAA bid and won their first two NCAA games before losing in the Sweet Sixteen, finishing 22-6.

Reminds me that #1 RMC lost in the quarterfinals only four years ago to #8 Lynchburg, but the Yellow Jackets then went on to win an NCAA game before losing to Maryville.

In a few days, we'll see what kind of surprises await us this year!
