Guilford 70, EMU 63 with 2:58 to go at EMU's Yoder Arena.

Now Guilford 74, EMU 66 with 1:07 to go.

Guilford's sinking their FT's, but EMU just got a three to cut it to 80-71 with 31.6 sec to go.  Dean calls a TO.

Lights out at EMU.

Last 30 seconds were played with half the lights out at Yoder Arena (there's a storm), but the Quakers hang on for an 82-71 win over the Royals.

GC moves to 18-4, 11-2 while EMU drops to 14-8, 8-5.  This EMU loss means Eastern Mennonite cannot win the ODAC ... even if both teams finish 11-5, GC has the tie-breaker.

H-SC 67 Roanoke 63       HS-C led throughout 2nd half - up by 12 with couple of minutes to go but Roanoke made fairly good run - Roanoke made 3 pointer at buzzer to cut to 4 - H-SC had several in double figures for good balance in scoring - had a little trouble handling ball at end and shooting went cold with about 6 minutes to go - great win though to offset the 5 point loss at the start of the season

POY
#9379
Speaking of POY candidates, Clay Henson had a great game on the road tonight against a contender.  He was 10/14 from the field and 5/8 from three-point range for 25 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a block in the win.  Nice game by both teams tonight as they only had 11 turnovers each.

Nice win for the Tigers.  With their 5th ODAC loss, Roanoke is now out of the conference race as well.  If GC and RoC both finish 11-5, Guilford also has the tie-breaker over the Maroons.

Hey, RMC fans, don't get me wrong, I hope Justin wins POY, but it's not the commanding performance of past POYs.
78rmc-you're right-nobody has had a Jared Mills or Brandon Adair-type performance.....hope Justin Short wins it,but he hasn't been head and shoulders above everyone else-and neither has anybody else........Any word yet on the RMC-Bridgewater game?..ANYBODY??

BC was down 60-38  w/ about 3 to go last I saw.
The lights went out at BC and they were deciding whether or not to finish the game...

seems nuts, half the lights go out at EMU then Light out at BC. Wonder what's going on in Rockingham Co. VA  tonight!

The Guilford announcer said there was a pretty violent storm with very high winds.  He said GC and EMU were fortunate to get their game in ...  given the score, the small amount of time left and the relatively good visibility when the lights went about half out, the referees let them play.

Yikes!  Looks as though the Yellow Jackets will still have a 1/2 game lead over the Quakers, 12-2 to 11-2.  If this holds up (and it probably will), BC, EMU and Roanoke are all eliminated from the title hunt tonight.

It's a final, RMC 71, BC 38.  Wow, I would've picked the Jackets to win, but not by that margin!

GC 82, EMU 71
VWC 79, Randolph 64
W&L 58, LC 55
HSC 67, Roanoke 63

The fact that Hasanova even wrote that sentence indicates what a fine showing EMU is having this season.
