one of my frat brothers stumbled upon this gem a few years ago.  Just a little glimpse into student life at Liberty...

It doesn't list this, but I know at least last year that you could get a reprimand for not making up your bed.

Well good for Jerry!  I'll drink to those rules! ;)

jeloesel

steely,
No scoring holiday for the Maroons so far--but maybe it is a holiday feast.  Roanoke leads at the half 45-34.  Bill Leatherman went to a 2-3 zone early to challenge Roanoke to hit the outside shot, and the Maroons have been shooting lights out.  8-10 from beyond the arc.  They are also hitting their FTs.  Butler has 13 already, Shrader has 12, Jackson 9.  If Roanoke keeps up that intensity in the second half, they should be celebrating at the end of the evening.

jeloesel

Bridgewater is able to get the game going at their pace, but Roanoke holds on to win, 78-70.  It helped to make 14-14 from the FT line.   21 for T. Jackson and J. Butler.  Shrader with 14.  As Steely often says, any road win in the ODAC is delicious.

Guilford has cut W&L's 27-point lead to 1, 84-83.  Bienemann with 33.

2:53 to go.

I'll be darned.

W&L 98
Guilford 92

No miracle shot from Snipes.

If you make every game a life and death proposition, you're going to have problems. For one thing, you'll be dead a lot. Dean Smith

Congratulations to W&L over GC.  98-92.  The Generals hit their many FT's, especially down the stretch.  I'm mildly stunned.

steelyglen

congrats to baselinejam...the only "guru" to pick the Gennies over the Quakers...there's a point nobody else thought to get tonight!

Since I didn't tune in until about 12 minutes to go, I don't know how the game developed, but W&L was 34 of 41 on FT attempts to only 21 of 27 for GC.   I know there was a "T" on Palombo about the time I tuned in.  This is very disappointing for me and the Quakers ... but congratulations again to the Generals.

And VWC wins in OT, downing the Emus, 78-75

algernon

Tigers win, 74-64.  Both teams shoot about 45% from the field and their rebounding was even, 29-29.  The Tigers won on their high field goal percentage from behind the arc.

Drew Prehmus scored 27 points, hitting 5 of 10 from behind the arc.  He also had quite a few rebounds.  Troy Kaase had 13 and Kevin Forrester had 10.

Lynchburg won't wait much longer before winning one.  They were very scrappy and fought hard the whole game.

Thank you very much algernon. I tell you what, our first win can't come any sooner! I attempted to listen to the game. What I mean by attempt is listen and do homework at the same time. It sounded like we played kinda well. STill sounds like we are having difficulties closing out on the 3 point shot, of course all you have to do is look at the high 3 point percentage we are giving up to figure that one out. Sounded like big Pete Vasilou is really starting to emerge as a consistent scorer. Finally the "Big Greek" is doing what we knew he would eventaully be capable of doing!

Next time you go to a Hampden Sydney game at their place, tell the announcers they do a fine job announcing! I was very pleased with their professionalism, analysis, how they commentated on what was going on so I wasn't completely confused, and the play-by-play! They didn't try to get too analytical and didn't dumb the game down too much to make me feel like an absolute genius like some big time commentators do. They never seem to let me down! Only suggestion I would make to them is mention more often what the score is and how much time there was. Give them two thumbs up for me next time you see them.
