I agree Jacketlawyer- it was touch and go last night at the end and it didn't really have to be-Were you aware that YJC and the SID and Ad had the rest of the home games on a video feed-even the women's game fri nite w/Roanoke for first place will be on-it's COOL 8)...

Hmmmm, will have to look into that.  Thanks for the intell! 8)

C'mon Nova, how about putting your prognostications to verse. We haven't had one from you in a while and your posting is perfect fodder for a novapoem.
Ha.

Well, I'm man-to-man busy ... a sorrow!
But I'll give it a rim shot tomorrow.
The squads will be roasted
Bon mots will be posted.
Half-court wit, so I'll beg, steal or borrow!

Just a reminder that Guilford coach Tom Palombo will be one of our guests on Hoopsville tonight. The show airs from 6-8 ET and he will be in the first hour.

Danke, señor.  :)
In the spirit of Spanish/German relations, "De nada, Herr Coleman."  :)

PS  I had a nice conversation with Tom Palombo Monday night and he reinforced the team's willingness for and enjoyment of playing in front of big ... and usually spirited ... road crowds.  The Quakers were anticipating the great fan base at Hampden-Sydney and the Tigers delivered.

Despite getting smited unmercifully almost every time I do this, a promise is a promise.  :)  Let's try a haiku style for the contenders:

Quakers may win it.
Is that buzzing behind them?
Run, but don't look back!

Jackets are stinging.
Head-to-head was a bad place.
Just win - pray they lose!

Maroons down and out?
Four L's - shot clock down to two.
An RC says show!

Fan says they're "soaring".
Eagles fly where football's dared.
It's now fourth and long!

Amish on steroids.
A Royal flush beats them all.
Not one in the cards!

Double-U n L.
Lost five battles, now the war.
Appomattox calls!

Marlins are game fish.
Shot harpoons in their own fins.
Trophy lost at sea!

Thanks a lot, jww.  I was hoping everyone would get the win-place-show theme in GC-RMC-RC.   ;)

Thanks, rmc1982.  I'll be AIS (some of you may remember that from an Everybody Loves Raymond episode!) for the Quakers and the Generals today at 3.  GC's playing well their last three games ... which W&L team will show?  Speaking of Washington and Lee, they've got a tough 8-day stretch:  at GC today, at RMC Monday, LC Wednesday and BC next Saturday.  Ouch!  We've still got LC at their place on Valentine's Day ... the Hornets showed what they can do versus EMU, but couldn't close the deal.

Enjoy today's hoops, everyone!  Peace
