The Marlins are up by a dozen with 5 minutes left

Jeremybozz

Congrats to the Marlins. HSC and Roanoke up next.
RMC and Guilford are now bubble teams for the NCAA's at best.

ODACHOOPS

Your right in 2007 Bridgewater beat #2 seed and #17 in the country Guilford I forgot about that one...chalk up another upset that was bigger then a non ranked team beating a non ranked team..

Mr. Ypsi

WOW!  The speculation among the gurus in the Pool C thread was that Guilford and RMC were both pretty safe, but I suspect that assumed they played for the title (or at least both made the semi's).  I wonder which is now more likely - the ODAC as a 3-team league or a 1-team league?

Jeremybozz

Guilford is #19 and RMC is #22 in the nation this week.

Jeremybozz

RMC and Guilford are both bubble teams but if you have to pick one that has a better shot, its Guilford with the head to head win over RMC.

True, but the poll has nothing to do with NCAA selection.  I can't remember a year when at least one top 25 team didn't stay home.

so having to play in one of those tuesday games, doesn't look so bad after alll. W&L won, VWC won, and HSC is currently whipping Roanoke 35-20 at the half...

smithgraham77

seeds 4, 6, 7, and 8 advance to the semifinals.

ODACHOOPS

FINALLY...after a 25-4 run late in the 2nd half for Roanoke to cut the lead to 2 the Tigers hang on to win by 5.  For the 6th time in 7 years the Tigers end Roanoke's season, talk about a stat.  When Melvin Felix refused to shake Turner King's hand during pre-game introduction I knew the Maroons were in for a loooong night! Why would you piss off a team that clearly has your number? Talk about extra motivation..

Tomorrow nights Marlins Tigers game is in my mind the championship game, winner of that wins the ODAC and goes dancing to the NCAA's. I just don't see the Generals or the Eagles beating either of those teams in the championship game.

Jeremybozz

 HSC beat Roanoke yet again.
I thought Roanoke had a real shot at an at large NCAA bid if they made the ODAC Finals given todays events in the ODAC.
How will Don Burgess and BC respond to the pressure of being the top seed left in the tourney?
Its good to be the favorites. :)

W&L beat HSC by 13 and only lost by 1 at Va. Wesleyan.

BC split with Wesleyan. winning by 5 at the Fish Tank and losing by 5 at BC.
BC did lose to HSC though.

Which is part of the problem in DIII.

Congratulations to the Generals.  They played with heart ... if it was H-O-R-S-E, they'd have to call their banks.  :)

I'm not going to blame the loss on the officials, but they did not have a good day.

If a DIII team can't make the NCAA tournament as co-champs of a major conference and by going 21-5, 14-2, then I see no reason to even play the regular season ... just start with the tournament.  The regular season is meaningless.  The Big East or ACC #8 team can make it, but not DIII.  What an uproar there'd be if that happened in DI.

Again, good luck to W&L and all the remaining teams.

Don't play the tourney as the UAA does.   ;)

Wasn't the ACC the conference that started all of this post-season tourney excrement from male of the B. taurus species about 40 years ago?
